Hi all, I was wondering why ont the Frankfurt Route all Trains have so weak Brakes? I drive the BR185 and so on in Reallife and never ever have i see one with this kind of Brakes ^^ is therer any possibbility to fix this? the 112 aswell, you have to apply max breaking to get slower. Not even the AFB slows the Trains down as it should. Greetings from Germany.
Are you talking the 185 as a light loco or within a consist? I found the braking to be quite well simulated and if you are talking in the sense of consist braking it’s clear that the brake of the loco has hardly got any influence on the braking performance of the whole train?!
the 114 I know is broken. I don't think the 112 runs on the route. but I would think all other trains have properly functioning brakes. the FTF 185 even having a GPR switch on the loco, a GP switch on most wagons and suspension. I'm not sure about suspension improvements on freight wagons. and only the Falns wagons are broken in their weight.
In a consist of course sorry, but for me the Trainbrakes do nothing, only on full apply. The one Scenario with the 112 is the same, you can brake like 3 Kilometers with stage 5 or 6 and still drive by the Station then. Trainbrake not Locobrake of course.
I have to admit that I have hardly ever played the 112! But the 185 I have played quite extensivly... until the Vectron came along and basically took its place Staying with the 185, which services have you played?! There has been quite a steep developing curve and learning curve on DTGs side in regards to German freight train operations. The big step came with Dresden Riesa! If you want realistic ops, dont go before this DLC... If you say it takes ages to brake I would argue that for a heavy freight train run on "G" brakes this would be quite normal and to be expected As you will know if you drive them irl! Not saying there are no issues, but braking is (at least for me) not really one of them. Not speaking about the 112, which I have no clue how it drives in TSW.
Im so sorry, i meant the 146 not the 185. i´m a reallife Traindriver and i drive the 185 quite regulary thats how i got mixed up for writing it so many years =)
I encountered an error in the Frankfurt scenario where the brake lock key remained active in the Doppelstock head car while driving the RE50 with the BR146 locomotive. As a result, the brakes did not work on the entire train. If you encounter this , check the head car.
Iwas going to check this, then i recognized sometimes instead of the cabcar a second 146 spawns in at the cabcar place, setupwise it fits but it still breaks horrible. Maybe there´s something wrong overall. But thx for your Tip. edit: I Testet what you just suggested and hwat should i Say, it works allthough the Cabcar key was off. I opend it set the Cab Brakes to full and locked it. now it works
Only driving the 101 expert and sometimes the 218 or 111. For me TSW 5 is a new Low. Rushed out on all corners, not worth the full price. Definetly continue holding back my money on buying new content. I guess on christmas first dlcs i skipped are sold on heavy discount. The 114 is a pathetic joke, insulting the entire customerbase of german content. Its a new loco entirely botched, preferably a 143 copy with the change of numbers would have delivered at least a working loco. - D2 brakevalve totally wrong after so many locos in tsw - hl pressure totally wrong (4.6 bar) - brake timing pgr non functional. Seems to be just a selector with no function. Currently TSGs expertline showed me, that very high standard locos are possible.
Yeah on the 101 Epert the white one the Winshieldheatrer ist not operation aswell, this is a bummer the red one works but my windows do not fog up in the red one.....
Looking at the troubleshooting thread, there will come many fixes for the 101. Its at 75 reported / tracked issues. For a realistic experience, this loco is 99% recreated and spot on to drive and by far the closest you can get in tsw. Basicly the remaining things which are not implemented are "draining condensed water from the valve", or "filling sand". But actually the sand can get empty . Just got to the 114 section of the "journey", and blimey, how is it worse than TSW4?, in the scenario "No Pull!" only the electric brakes work (yes, the brake key is on) and everywhere else the brakes are really weak.
How is it still not fixed, a bug that makes the 114 unplayable... Come on DTG, it's one of two main locos for one of these three flagship routes for TSW5 and we are almost one month from pre-release. At least swap it for BR112 util it's fixed.
The Dosto brakes are really weak for me even with a 146 at the back, I assume this means it’s a bug across all the trains then
whilst on the subject of frankfurt, rolling stock and bugs. the Flixtrain Vectron has been acting weird with it's AFB. it feels like it acts like the ÖBB 1116 from semmeringbahn pre fixes. I had it brake 100% as soon as it got speed reductions announced on LZB. even though those were 4km away. already slowed down to the expected speed before the "expect braking" even shows up. I wasn't sure why and expected it to be in the first patch. but of course not. I also had it not going faster than 160 the entire way from Gelnhausen to Hanau because there was a train 6km in front of me. the AFB dynamically moving from 200 to 180 and back. but on full throttle I stayed at 160. untill at LZB ende. it suddenly found power as it said I should expect 110 soon... And then today I expected it to brake harder than I thought so I got a zwangsbremsung going 90. so close yet so far. after I released. PZB was at wachsam, 40km/h. and AFB left in 130 as after Offenbach that would be my speed limit. but. manually doing the speed. it stayed at 40 untill wachsam ended itself. just like the 1116 does. although the 1116 actually shows the AFB speed when under PZB restrictions. and did brake you to said restriction as soon as you got it. Does the Flix vectron have a new operation of AFB? and is this the real way it works in modern locomotives or is it only on the 1116 and have I found another bug overlooked by a quick test of the product before release? FTF is still great. it's a shame half of the rolling stock is broken already.
I have encountered exactly the same behaviour with the FT Vectron. But I am not certain any more that it is a loco problem or an LZB issue, as I have encountered this as well in ICE-Ts and ICE1s in the meantime… What I found strange is that the braking curve seems to run down your speedometer as expected. It’s just the AFB getting wrong commands?! My hope is that a developer will have a closer look at some point and correct whatever is going wrong.
