you have a lot of options. which do you choose?

IGNORE THE 2 COPIED ONE (if you can see it) (the suwex and mannheim)
(except the hamburg one and amsterdam and others)

(i might have the most choice on a poll lmao)

Woah, SFS KRM has the most votes (even if it's just 5). Shows that people do want a "boring ICE only AFB lean back and watch" route ;)
Same length as KWG, double to triple amount of stations!

Personally for me Hamburg-Lüneburg or Hamburg to Cuxhaven would be my personal choice; the vastness of freight variety at Maschen and around Hamburg-Harburg is just insane. Cuxhaven route uses Metronom 246s with Doppelstock whilst the route to Lüneburg uses Metronom 146s plus has DB IC services. Vectrons are a plenty plus a vast range of 185s, 152s, 189s and several other freight locomotives in many different liveries shuttle freight between Maschen Yard and Hamburg Hafen

Whilst driving up every year back to Denmark for the summer holidays my father and myself will stop off in Hamburg Harburg for a week to spend a week on the platform just taking in the shear volume of freight that runs through.

Amsterdam - Aachen is a weird choice for the ICE because those two from amsterdam drive over utrecht not down but continue on through Arnhem to Duisburg. Amsterdam - Aachen is pretty far too, although the Maastricht - Venlo strech is pretty nice to drive through.

I think Amsterdam - Arnhem - (Duisburg) or Aachen - Bruxelles make more sense. My preference going to the first one as there is a lot of service variety and rolling stock there

Personally I have fond memories of the TSC route between Köln and Koblenz. Would love to see the route re-created for TSW.

Nice options, but I'd like a slow, single-track romp through the Black Forest, with lots of meets at stations

Not on the poll but id love to see Hamburg to Neumünster (maybe even to Kiel). Most of existing stock can be used, there is an ICE "Instandhaltungszentrum" (dont know the english term), the Sbahn is 3rd rail and could use OHLE as well, all type of trains (ICE,IC,RE...) run this route, shunting, the famous end station of long run ICEs Hamburg Altona and City Tunnel for Sbahn (As seen on FAF DTG could be too lazy to build this). Stock is a bit of limited for use on other routes, as the Sbahn only runs in Hamburg, but the Twindexx has more use.
I hope we get to see this in TSW at some point, but sadly DTG seems to not like northern germany. My hopes are in for a 3rd party to do this.

well yeah but to get from Aachen to Amsterdam you have a 25 minute regional express and a 2h 30 minute intercity service although fun, I think a more realistic suggestion would've been better. especially since OP says the ICE3 with the route (now the ICE Neo drives there btw) it is a weird choice as it will be AI at aachen and only between Amsterdam and Utrecht playable. which is 30 ish minutes of the 3 hours.

although I'd love such a big route. the way RSSLO connected München - Salzburg - Linz - Wien is something really cool I'd love to see in train sim world. maybe after some save game updates... but for now. it's not very possible. (thanks for adding Amsterdam - Duisburg though)

Yes, but the great thing is that to combine them into a single route from Munich to Vienna you have to buy every single DLC again. Because the ROSSLO ones taken from STEAM don't work. So you are forced to buy them a second time from the official ROSSLO website. But also several locomotives work the same way, now I don't remember the company, but the DB 103 (PRO/Expert) works the same way. If taken on Steam it has limited functionality, even though the company that produces and distributes it on STEAM is the same (now I don't remember if ROSSLO or RailWorks Austria or something else). The problem is that on STEAM this is not indicated.

I also voted for it. Number one it can´t be done on TSC because of gradients or something (can´t remember). Number two because I think it would be great in TSW. Leaving Frankfurt, Frankfurt Airport and other stops along the way and then arriving in to a very busy Cologne: I think it would be a fun ride with two impressive cities and lots of AI traffic.

Hamburg - Hannover was so epic in TSC. But it would be far too ambitious for TSW. It would have to include all the harbor shunting, Maschen Yard (biggest yard in Europe), it has LZB, lots of services... I don't think it is possible in the current state of the game.

Above 100km the price will increase up to double in the case of longer routes such as Bremen-Munster.

    Hamburg-Bremen
    Bremen-Munster (like on TS)
    Munster-Dortmund
    Dortmund-Duisburg (HRR2)
    Duisburg-Dusseldorf
    Dusseldorf-Cologne
    Cologne-Frankfurt
    Frankfurt-Mannheim
    Mannheim-Stuttgart
    Stuttgart-Munich

Shouldn’t this have been in Suggestions?

Loads of omissions from the list…
    Obereruhrtalbahn
The Eifelbahn from Koln through Gerolstein to Trier.
    Munich - Garmisch - Innsbruck
    Garmisch to Kempten
    Lindau - Kempten - Ulm
    Pegnitztalbahn
The Villingen route as in TSC.

A personal wish would be something in Thuringia as its my home country. Specifically something in the mountainous area as there a lot of steep and twisting single branches trough the deep forest.

In general i would love to see a Route thats connecting existing routes so we are closing gaps in the TSW network. Thats why I've always wanted to see Riesa-Leipzig as its an important Link and Leipzig Main station a big connection point in the east of Germany.

Also Köln-Koblenz is something i would love to see for that sake. I just love the idea to have the opportunity some day to cross germany within TSW routes and creating long journeys, be it with changing routes in between.

From an Intercity/ICE perspective, starting from Riesa doesn't make sense to me. It would make a whole other sense to start from Dresden, via Riesa, and reach Leipzig. Since Dresden already has one, they could redo the route to Leipzig.

My top 3 most wanted routes (that are actually realistic) would probably be:

    Köln-Koblenz
Has a lot of varying types of services on the route with freight, S-Bahn, ICE/IC and regional trains. Beautiful landscape first through the fields between Cologne and Bonn and then next to the Rhine river until Koblenz. What I like about it is that the Expert 101 would have relatively frequent stops like in Salzburg-Rosenheim instead of basically an A-B kind of service.

    Saarstrecke Trier-Saarbrücken
Now this is the more unusual one. The route is mainly following the river Saar, which has a magnificent river valley similar to Koblenz-Mainz. But also has a lot of unique landmarks like the Saar Polygon or the Völklinger Hütte. Speaking of that, this route would be a pretty interesting freight focused route with the steelworks in Dillingen and Völklingen. The liquid metal freight trains are a pretty unique thing for this route. Additionally around Mettlach a lot of test drives with new rolling stock gets done which could bring an interesting layer to it. Also there is the very small branch line to Niedaltdorf, which maybe could be included. Of course that would be a bit ambitious.
2019 would be a great year with the so called "Suppenzüge" (soup trains) being hauled by a BR151 and regional express service done by Stadler Flirt 3 and the slower RB services were still served by BR425 back then. And the branch line to Niedaltdorf uses Siemens Desiro Classic (BR642), but until spring of 2019, they used BR628, which sometimes were still used as replacement iirc.

    Filstalbahn Stuttgart-Ulm
With one of the steepest gradients in Germany, this route would finally let a route that is mainly set in Baden-Württemberg enter TSW. This time again with a lot of service variety with freight, S-Bahn, regional and long distance trains. The steep gradiant would give it a nice challenge to drive. The curve at around Geislingen is also a nice sight to behold. Additionally if you want to be really ambitious you add the high speed route from Wendlingen to Ulm, but I personally would be happy without it.

Obviously I'd choose this option over it being a stand alone route. But nonetheless they first have to make it, that was my key point. Although ICE and IC Services stop in Riesa, it wouldn't at least be an artificial stop to make things fit for the game.

I really like the Idea of a freight based Route Saarstrecke. Gives some vibes of RSN but even more Steampunk with that surroundings. As i think the DB Br 151 has to come to TSW, this would fit absolutely perfect.

Have a look at this image, it screams heavy metal ! die-suppenzuege-7634ac41-bd4a-4ad7-ad11-62f599081f5c.jpg
