Just saw the roadmap of the tsw5, so the db version 193 don’t have LZB?

Yes. It seems the DB red version of this loco is used for freight and since you are not going to drive freight at more than 160 Km/h the company decided to reduce the cost of the loco by not including the LZB functionality.

Keep in mind it is not just the cost of installing the LZB system. If a unit has LZB installed you need to do maintenance and pass tests regularly that are expensive.

I would say not at launch. If a DB red with LZB exists in real life (I don't know if it does) DTG might add it as part of another DLC in the future but I have no clue what their plans are.

That's not a thing in real life.

I wonder for those that have Kinzigtalbahn SFS Hannover Würzburg and SFS Köln-Aachen how does this DB Traffic Red version deal with LZB sections on those routes? Otherwise use the Railpool Vectron future Austrian 1293s as subs since they're LZB equipped

I thought DB Vectron only had PZB, but I guess since it is for freight it also uses LZB occasionally?

If it doesn't have LZB, then it doesn't use LZB. Simple. Runs under PZB all the time. As a DB Cargo freight-only loco, there is no need for it.

...but it has LZB in TSW. You can activate it and it actually detects LZB sections 'sometimes'....

DTG has already confirmed that in the live article was wrong information and this loco has LZB. So far i know has every Vectron that runs in Germany LZB...... LZB is not only for Highspeed trains but also very normal for freight locos now days

That's not strictly true. Some of the DB Cargo 155s were especially retrofitted with LZB to fit on SFSs, hence the 155s' cabs in TSW, which differ from a "normal" 155 cab.
