I hope they add the Lake Shore Limited, though they would need to model the Amtrak P42DC, Viewliner sleeper cars, and Amfleet II passenger cars, most Lake Shore Limited trains these days use Amfleet I cafe cars, so they can reuse them and just remove the “Northeast Regional” branding.
If they ever add the GP40MC, having a loud HEP would be a must for it, those beats are known for their awesome sounding HEP generators, you can recognize them from a mile away. That being said, I hope they can tweak the HEP sounds in the F40PH-3Cs to make them more realistic
I asked the same question but I got no answer. I hope we do though because that will sell me even more on this route if they do add it
Just Trains will do a great job again. With Blackpool Branches they built probably the best british route in TSW so far.
I'd assume in the next roadmap, since it should be coming out in 2 or 3 months, based on the last roadmap.
I grew up in Worcester and the first ever place I railfanned was Worcester Union Station, i use to see those HSP46's fly by all the time and wonder what it would be like to operate that, so seeing this come to Train Sim World 5 is so amazing! Keep up the good work devs!
Its been explained MULTIPLE TIMES ON THIS FORUM that it will never happen. Your best bet is to use the gimmick route hopping feature.
NORAC Operating Rules. MBTA employee timetable shows which rules apply to which sections. Framingham to Boston is 261. Framingham to Worcester is 562/261
The air sounds when applying the brake? You can hear moving the brake lever and the air when RELEASING the brake but there are no air sounds when applying the brake.
Ages ago there was a problem where when you applied the brakes there would be a constant annoying brake apply sound, that’s what must’ve been removed
That's what it's supposed to sound like. Just not constant. Irl you hear that sound for a second or two as the air flows through and then it would stop.
Does anyone know what is the maximum speed that can be reached on this route? Standard 79 mph or less? (I didn't find any information on Wikipedia)
If you look at https://www.openrailwaymap.org/ you can check the speed and if i see so far its 79m/h but very short part... Most is around 70 or lower!
Here are the passenger speed limits that you can reference. If you prefer a visual format, download the .zip file, unzip it, and load up the .KML in Google Earth. I made this for project planning purposes.
I saw the new images and trailer for the route and I can't wait to buy it on the first day. I am so glad the MBTA Style signage is right this time as that was something that made the Providence route feel a bit off. Though I do have a small and (I assume) easy suggestion for the devs. Please please please get rid of the all single level MBB sets on the route, only have the mixed sets and all bilevel sets. The all MBB sets were never a thing in real life and honestly make the route feel less authentic, even when there were all single level sets (which there aren't anymore but there were back in 2019), they were a mix of the MBBs and the comets (which aren't in the game), and these sets never had more than 2 MBBs per set. Just a suggestion though, thanks.
They’ve been out for overhaul since early 2021. Hearing they’re letting the F40 finish rebuild before started on the MP36.
If one owns the Northern segment of NEC Trenton to Boston which is Warwick, RI to Boston South Station via Providence route. does the HSP-46 layer on if one has both Worcester and NEC Trenton to Boston northern segment owned?
Are there any plans to fix the Back Bay skyline? The Financial District buildings look great and pretty much just as they do in real life, but the Prudential Building and John Hancock Building (aka 200 Clarendon Street) look nothing like their real life counter parts, I think it would be very beneficial to the game’s realism and immersion to fix these buildings and make them look as the do in real life, especially since these are the two most iconic buildings in Boston and can be seen for a good amount of the Worcester Line, below is the image comparison between the real life buildings seen from the line, and an in-game screenshot, thanks to any devs who may be reading this
Yeah it’s quite common to have trophies for the next DLC in advance. Sometimes we have some “leaks” about what next content will be released by looking at the trophies thanks to an update.
Much, much better job on the ballast. Although it still isn’t quite matching the ground texture, it looks way better than the charcoal look before. Good job DTG!
Yeah, and as I mentioned in the article's thread as well, it looks like they finally got rid of the weird ballast shine? If so, that's big.
Definitely looks better now ..and since at least some Ai and playable freight is in i may get the route , i have all the required freight routes etc for it, hoping they will show some gameplay with freight in the video stream .
