Might be heresy ,I like the three Scottish and Island line, shame they didn't animate the hovercraft.
Jasper_Rivet For some reason I am not able to purchase the West Cornwall Local route. Instead of getting this route I was given the West Cornwall Local Steam Railtours addon. So I thought that I had made a mistake and tried again. Once again I was charged for the West Cornwall Local route, and given the West Cornwall Local Steam Railtours addon! I have put in a request for a refund on the 2nd purchase as Steam tells me that I already have West Cornwall Local Steam Special addon.
I have several of Rivet's routes. Sure there are issues with some of them. But then that can be said of all the TSW developers and their routes. As the publisher, DTG is ultimately responsible for the quality of all its releases. So any criticisms should be channelled in their direction rather than toward those laboring at the various coalfaces.
Would we have this same reaction if JD Alex or Matt were to respond the same way? Regardless of the intention the language shouldn't be used on a public forum by any community manager.
I feel this is being blown out of proportion because Rivet did it. I won’t believe anyone would react like this if the bad word came from a Just Trains or Train Sim Germany Developer. Everyone would have acted as if it didn’t matter.
People need a daily roadmap or they're getting nervous. Especially on the weekends when DTG won't talk to their sheep.... drama.
That's not the point. You don't see this type of language used by community managers or those part of a business engaging with customers etc. Its not about my life or if it bothers me. It's about professional conduct within your job. If you are tasked with engaging in customer service or community engagement you wouldn't expect swearing to be used regardless of the intention. Imagine if companies using social media would respond to everyone in such a way using explicit language. It's not on. The mistake was acknowledged along with the forum rules that must be complied with.
Thank you very much for the tip, Fahrgast! Now all issues sorted. Just bought the TSC Swiss Deluxe Edition and what I got with it for 8,74€ is all of this: Train Simulator Classic Lake Constance: Schaffhausen – Kreuzlingen Lake Constance Scenario Pack Bahnstrecke Leipzig – Riesa Bahnstrecke Riesa – Dresden Powerhaul Class 66 V2 Loco Addon Tehachapi Pass: Mojace – Bakersfield WCML South: London Euston – Birmingham European Loco & Asset Pack Highly recommend it to everyone, even if you just miss one of these entries. Bought with credit card, no issues there.
Enjoy! Leipzig - Riesa is the extension to Dresden - Riesa and makes it a full route. I've got all Rivet stuff for TSC and can only recommend it. (Lake Constance is the only Rivet DLC in the pack though.)
I thought it was quite funny LoL! We can say [Edit - Jan - Language] in the DGT forum, but we cant say Cl*ss in the games creators club?
Did you clear it from your basket,I'd noticed,as I bought iow22, previous purchase was still in the basket.I deleted it manually.
No, as I thought that I had made an error in purchasing the wrong one. So I select WCL made sure in the description it was the route priced at £24.95. Added it to my basket, added the code, made the purchase. Then when I entered the key in to Steam I got a message saying I had already purchased it. I checked my steam and the route is listed as not owned. So I checked the purchase link in the email, and it listed 2 purchases of WCRT's. So I have now purchased a £9.99 dlc for £12.48. A dlc that I can't use because it's not giving me the route! I honestly don't hold any hopes that Rivet will give me a refund? But you never know
Get over what? A community manager going against forum rules? It just speaks of hypocrisy. It isn't one rule for them and another for us.
I'm sure Jasper and his team will get it is sorted out. Wonder if the sever is getting hammered,75% off is a lot. Don't know if they work the weekend though.
acutally no... I got e-mails, but half of the e-mails have no Steam codes in them. They really seem to be struggling with the whole thing. Responded again now and asked for the missing ones.
What is included with that Train Sim Classic part please? Was unsure whether it’s the 2024 version with crewe-Holyhead, or a previous version - but if previous unsure what comes with it. Thanks
Didn't say anyone should be sacked. Just better behaviour from someone who's in the role of a community manager engaging with customers... if we just think this is fine, where do we draw the line? That's why we have forum guidelines and rules so those lines are not crossed by anyone. People are rightly disappointed with the initial response, no harm in sharing concerns on that to prevent such comments from appearing again.
I've read alot worse by community members than what Jasper wrote. And those members are still here so why should it be any different. Maybe a hey dude follow the rules message from DTG but nothing any more serious than that.
Jasper_Rivet I was just wondering why your team never went back to fix some of the issues on WCL? People in this community have been very vocal about it and it’s fell on deaf ears for years. Was it an internal decision or did DTG have some input? Either way it would inspire some confidence and you’d get in everyone’s good graces if you went back and revisited the route. Obviously it would have to be profitable for the company, so some extra paid locos for the route. The night riviera added possibly?
The parts listed (apart from Lake Constance and the Scenario Pack) are all from the "Train Simulator Classic" bundle at the time of it's release. The current core routes (Mittenwaldbahn, North Wales, etc.) aren't included.
You did nothing wrong, I have the same issue, instead of WCL, the email with the code was stating that it is the WCL, but the code unlocked the Steam Railtour Addon for the WCL. So I am now waiting for their reply where is my code for WCL. And since I do not think the code already redeemed can be taken back, I wonder how they will sort this out. I definitely do not want to buy the WCL again and do not need the Railtour addon.
I have just received a email and my claim is now awaiting a full refund. Though, at £6.24 I would have liked to have had the route. I have opted to keep the one railtours as I am refusing to pay £30 for SoS. So this has been a very cheap option to get some steam in the game. The issue here is that, until you redeem it, you do not know that it is wrong. Even the email of receipt states that the WCL route was purchased. Hopefully Jasper can assist???
Never realised Aschaffenburg was by Rivet. It was my introduction to TSW and I still like it. Picked up Glasgow-Edinburgh yesterday, love the detailed stations so far. Only one train is a bit boring though. But, so far so good.
Exactly this, the email says it is the WCL code, you redeem it, and only after that Steam tells you what it is. No way to know in advance.
Think some people need to give their head a wobble. Three or four wishing Revit were dead as a company and the many others want to hang a team member from a tree, for using the word [Edit - Jan - Language]. Of all the first world problems this is up the top with over milking tea and the reduction in size of wagon wheels. Entitled forum members is a bigger issue and, being honest, it's got progressively worse over the last few months. I can only imagine what will happen here if JTs new route is full of issues. Really people, you need to take a breath and think about what you are gaining. Constructive criticism should be openly encouraged, and we have seen its benefits on many routes with updates and patches. But........the spat dummy, childish comments, bandwagon jumping and burning at the stake, will only make this place and dev interaction a ghost town. I would guess nobody wants that? Everybody saying, they don't communicate....well the above may be a good place to start.
Thank you, Spikee! Initially I wanted the Stralsund-Sassnitz and maybe Frankfurt-Koblenz routes, but that TSC with Dresden-Riesa and the extension to Riesa to Leipzig are hidden inside of the bundle, makes it unbelievable as its my favorite route in TSW still and even thought about to purchase as individual routes at any time in the future once I got TSC. Finally I can drive from Dresden to Leipzig. As people said before, the extension works even without a break or route hop in Riesa, which is awesome. Maybe Frankfurt-Koblenz could be seen as a modern version of LFR in TSW, but with the extension from Mainz to Frankfurt. I might get it as well. trainsimplayer is correct. However, to note is I got Train Sim Classic 2024 though (not a previous version), but not with the current core routes (except Dresden-Riesa which I got with it) as you would buy the standard edition of TSC 2024 directly on Steam. So its missing all of these LGV: Marseille - Avignon Mittenwaldbahn: Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Innsbruck Northeast Corridor: Washington DC - Baltimore North Wales Coast Line: Crewe - Holyhead But still a very good offer, at least for those who didn't have Train Sim Classic before. For 1 new game, 5 routes, 1 scenario pack, 1 loco addon, and the European Loco & Asset pack, I think the price is a steal. I would say that the Swiss Deluxe Edition even makes sense to pay full price as it still saves loads of money, however with the shutdown of Rivet's store, this bundle will also not be available anymore I think. It's not offered on Steam anymore AFAICS, only the announcement is left of it. https://steamcommunity.com/games/railworks/announcements/detail/3389547565067082578
Why should you get a Gold medal for passively sitting through an introduction, it's normal to only get a checkmark on other routes too. Don't be so greedy (I know, if it's Rivet, we can bash them)
Same thing happened to me. Friday I bought the Island Line 2022 on the Rivet store and yesterday I got an email but without a Steam code. I replied asking for the missing code. (I got no answer yet, I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow)
if you follow the link in the email that takes you to your purchases page, you can then take a screenshot that can be used to get a refund. My payment was refunded this morning. It only took 24hrs. Must say though, trying to find the link on the Rivet website took me a while to find. I still want to purchase the route, so I'm hoping that Jasper can help?
Interesting study case. This thread, which has a clickbait title (the forums are not shutting down, only closed for maintenance), has much more views and traffic than the other thread which holds the correct information in its title... people prefer drama over facts any time.
It wasn’t meant as clickbait thank you. I posted the link telling you everything about Rivets forum and what’s going on with it.
As someone who can’t stand click baiting videos and links I promise you that was never my intentions with this thread haha. Nothing to be gained from it anyway. This thread is getting the lock treatment tommorow I reckon.
