Hey, sorry that I need to give up so early, but unfortunatley there is a mapping error on the class 66, making the flag impossible. Maybe a better livery creator could help you out. Again, sorry for letting you down.
I don't want to make any sort of pledge or promise as September is a busy time of year for me, but I may experiment with it a bit mate. Looks more simple than the last 66 livery I did! Edit: Bloody hell didn't see the crest thing next to the badge, I'll still have a play and let you know if it is something I'll be able to do.

Wow, that is bloody good going then mate. Yes the 1000 is certainly much better than the 300 from before.
I was under the mistaken assumption we had leaf decals. Now I'm procrastinating and it's the last thing I have to do! I'm starting to have regrets, and this will probably take months (if I even finish it!)
Oh, I have also been under that impression. I am sure there were some leaves at some point, as I remember turning my nose up at the time thinking they'd never be useful! It does look a hard one to do so I wouldn't worry mate, take your time, you had the biggest balls at the time to actually commit to it!
New strategy, simplification, and one element at a time, starting with the flower on the bottom. Perhaps if I post them on here, I'll get some more motivation...
Yes, I think the way to approach it will have to be seeing if it looks the part in a screenshot that isn't right up close as it is very intricate in real life. Looking good so far that's for sure. I'd certainly find it interesting to see how you go about it through screenshots on here, as I say take your time though or you'll feel burnt out and struggle to get back to it.
Nice try ! The flag is a pain to do as it’s distorted and it’ll consume a lot of layers, this is something I hate when doing a livery is you’ll never know if you’ll be able to finish it under the maximum layers available. I think you’ll have to simplify first and see how much layers left you have for the most consuming part of the livery and… x2 for both sides lol. Good luck it’s looking good so far.
Nevermind, I see what you mean. I'm still not sure if the new blue will work, but I'll push an update now so that you can see it on your screen. In the meanwhile, I got another flower in: Is the new blue any better for you, or shall I darken it further?

Ok, I've pushed an update that makes the blue darker. Hopefully that works better. As for the crest, I have now breached 300 layers...
No, no, 350 including the flag on both sides, the text, the yellow front, and everything else. The crest itself is probably closer to 150.
Ah right, that sounds much more realistic to get done then. I were fearing that things would have to be cut! That is very good then, lovely stuff!
Not a surprise that 1000 layers are ridiculously not enough, we need the double. I’m gonna annoy you a little bit but maybe you can try to make the crown more “bended” on each side like on this picture: I think you’ll lose your mind and run out of layers trying to put all the flowers around the crown.
I reckon I can get it well within 1000. As for the crown, I thought the same. Needs more bending. Always nice to get external opinions!
It doesn't even look blue in the livery designer anymore, but I think it looks right in the game - what do you think? I have reuploaded the new blue, so you can try it out for yourself if you want. Please let me know if the blue needs to be darker or lighter. Oh, I also edited the crown a little, but nothing much else.
Coming along nicely mate, honestly, as proven by my Silverlink 101s thread, my eye is not very good at identifying shades of colours so I'll leave that to someone a bit better at that than me, but it is looking about right, not glaringly wrong. I must say you have done a lovely job of the flag, looking very nice there. What I'll do tomorrow is download it and have a proper look round to see the crown adjustments.
