These are last updates that can be expected to be included in the upcoming patch (but not the last changes I have planned for the DLC!). I will let DTG announce when that will be.

    76. AFB sometimes exceeds LZB max permissible speed, even when train data is correct.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.

    Workaround: Brake manually.
Details: In real life AFB will (supposing the input ZDE train data matches the parameters of the train) start braking several seconds before the LZB max permissible speed (red bug) decreases below the current speed to compensate for the train brakes not responding immediately. In many cases this will lead to AFB reaching the target speed before the LZB max permissible speed reaches it (up to a few hundred meters at high speed). In the current (before patch) state of the DLC this doesn't happen correctly. AFB was quite heavily modified to work as the prototype with LZB for both passenger trains and freight trains.

    77. Sifa has been heavily reworked on both the BR 101 and Bpmmbdzf cab car (Feature)
    Status: Submitted to DTG.

    Workaround: N/A.
Details: Sifa will now become active when the pedal is pressed even when stationary, as long as Sifa is enabled and the reverser is not in "0". This allows for drivers performing a pre-departure Sifa test. Simply press the pedal down for 35 seconds to verify that the locomotive correctly goes into emergency. Furthermore, releasing the pedal for more than 5 seconds (including getting up out of the driver seat), when above 3 km/h, will enforce an emergency brake application until the pedal is pressed again. In this regime, 2.5 seconds before the emergency there is a sound warning, but no visual Sifa indicator (as per the prototype).

Lastly, the "driver presses down pedal when seated" logic has been reworked to make the driver release the pedal when the train is stationary to prevent nuisance Sifa alarms (changed based on input from real BR 101 / other German locomotive drivers).

    78. The throttle lever "button" now works to acknowledge Sifa on the BR 101 and Bpmmbdzf.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.

    Workaround: N/A.
Details: Pressing the top of the throttle lever with the mouse/console pointer or using the Shift+A keybind (PC only) will acknowledge a Sifa warning or reset the Sifa timer.

    79. Train Data and PZB Mode display logic implemented on BR 101 and Bpmmbdzf cab car (Feature)
    Status: Submitted to DTG.

    Workaround: N/A.
Details: When the PZB Acknowledge and PZB Release (PZB Wachsam & PZB Frei) are both pressed at the same time, after a short delay the MFA will display the current PZB mode (even if LZB is active or PZB is in Ersatzzugdaten / Grunddaten) and the LZB indicator and speedometer target speed indicates the train data. The first number of the LZB distance indicates the BRA and the 3 remaining numbers indicates the ZL rounded down (i.e. BRA 9 and ZL = 26 would show up as 9200). The speedometer target speed indicates the VMZ.
This function is only available with PZB working normally and the train stationary.

Just for your interest. I already fixed all the wrong door side DLCs by myself two weeks ago. Since they were a lot of them the testing needs some time (and that really needs to be tested intensively before a patch release). So, at some day in the future all door systems will be compatible again (all Dostos, all Locos (146s,143s,114,112s,111s,Vectrons and of course the BR218 DLC for what i did all that extra work).

Many thanks for all the effort you and your team puts into the content to make it as best as possible. Also glad to hear the door issues are getting adressed. It means a lot to see when a developer puts passion into the dlcs even after release and outside a marketing hype.

I hope DTG cut themself a piece how bugtracking can make things easier for both sides.

    • Made LSS LZB open and LZB/PZB cutout valve closed by default (fixes missing flashing 55 light when in the Grunddaten/basic data mode)
what does this mean exactly? like, after entering train data I have to go to the machine room and close the LZB breaker?

    It means nothing :D
The loco will have switches in the same state as before, for you.

EDIT: Because we combined the listed fixes here and from the internal version control software (this list in this thread was almost all of it, but not quite) some stuff that wasn't really useful for players to read (but important to keep track of what has changed with each revision) slipped through the net ;)
This fix was one such thing. I changed the logic of the Expert-Normal logic for the safety systems to a better way (it turned out to be better, but we didn't know it mattered in the beginning) that solved some bugs.

    *big sigh of relief* :D

for me what matters most from the loooong list of fixes is that the LZB/AFB exit procedure is there :) looking forward to proper LZB shenanigans with this beast :)

    80. Keybinds and HUD menu for door controls do not work in cab 2 of the BR 101 Expert.
    Status: Work in progress.

Workaround: Grab the door side selector with mouse/analog controls and move it to the desired position when driving from cab 2.

Details: While in cab 2 of the BR 101 Expert using the HUD menu or the keybinds (U/Y on PC) will not work when trying to open or close the passenger doors. Only moving the side selection switch inside the cab with analog controls will work. In cab 1 it works as expected.
I have identified the cause and should have a fix submitted to DTG shortly, but I can not say when it will be available for players since the bug was identified after the patch "deadline" had arrived.

I didn't either, because I always use the mouse to control the doors (habit from some locomotives having different behaviour between the keybinds and physical buttons/switches) and since all the formations had cab 1 facing forwards on the previous timetables it took a while for this bug to get noticed.

Finally the update and more timetables!

Top notch work from cwf.green and TSG to make all this possible. Is there a chance the "kassel - würzburg" timetable will get an expert version in the future?

havent tried Bremen Oldenburg with the full expert experience yet... wanted to do one on Frankfurt Fulda, but the one I picked is the only one thats bugged :D and since I didnt want further OCD triggers for the night, I played Space Marine 2 :D ... but today I might give the DLC a go and try my luck now when the consists are full expert :)

I'm utterly saddened, too. But, I told myself yesterday after reading the patch-notes: "Okay, there was more important stuff to fix for the first patch, let's be thankful and patient" and clicked the like Button :)

I'm really really really looking forward to drive the cab-car some day. If you are like me (don't play with K&M anymore, no RailDriver, no choosing this loco) you can view it the other way around: Waiting longer means more pleasant anticipation...

also, the change/patch notes of DTG - *blink and you miss it* :D ... and then patch notes for this - *lets list even developer level stuff that doesnt even affect the player directly* :D

like, I found fixes for stuff I knew I wanted fixed, found it, and then skimmed through the rest like, woah, now thats some attention to detail :D

    There is a chance :D

Unfortunately RailDriver was never going to make it for this patch (not sure if I said that somewhere, maybe I forgot) because it requires localization changes and that means it needs to be submitted and ready much sooner.

Raildriver implementation has not been forgotten though (but I can't say when you will have it unfortunately).

Very nice the double traction ic consist on Bremen - Oldenburg (didnt notice the second loco had defective safety systems, until the fault message of the LZB crossbound errors followed by an instant emergency brake after entering ZDE data ;)

(I had fault simulation on, so this might be also a random fault)

    Quick question:

When driving with AFB active, after the brake relesase the loco has built up tractive effort, but will cut the power ca. 2-3 seconds after brake release. I have to turn off the afb to keep moving.

When i turn afb on during driving, it works well until i stop again.

if you don't get over 2 kph in a couple secs, it will do that, so you need to start on like 50 or more percent throttle depending on weight and gradient... on a service I did I had to start at like 75 percent... then once it got over I lowered the percentage

cwf.green mentioned 2 kph as the speed you need to get over, my 101 applied brakes if I didn't get over 1 kph in a couple seconds

Yep, as razmatus#2517 said, it's prototypical behavior. See issue #26 in the OP. The pattern I adopted is, set it to 100%, wait to get over 2 km/h, then reduce to about 60% (I like to keep it at around 50 to 60 kN of effort).

    Some updates.

Firstly I have changed the status of the following bug since it was fixed with Patch 3:

    31. When the cab car is pushed by a non-Expert locomotive the doors will not open automatically when unlocked.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Workaround: The door task should still begin because the doors have been unlocked, but if for whatever reason it doesn't you may need to click open on one of the doors adjacent to the platform.

Now for some new bug fix and feature updates.

    80. Keybinds and HUD menu for door controls do not work in cab 2 of the BR 101 Expert.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.

    81. Complete rework of the adhesion physics on the BR 101 Expert (feature)
    Status: Submitted to DTG.

    Workaround: N/A.
Details: The core adhesion simulation has been changed for the BR 101 Expert to use a custom physics simulation. Both rain and snow will now initially drop to a low adhesion and then slowly increase the adhesion to a steady state value (lower than dry but higher than the initial) over 5-15 minutes depending on the level of precipitation. The steady state adhesion also depends on the level of precipitation. This means that if there is barely any rain (worst case) the adhesion stays at a low level. Snow yields slightly better adhesion than rain.
If there is no precipitation but the weather conditions are freezing or foggy or there is leaf fall the train can enter regions of very low adhesion. Finally the adhesion randomly fluctuates based on position around these "average values" described above. Adhesion also varies throughout the trainset so trailing locomotives will have higher adhesion than leading ones, due to the formation "drying up" the tracks.

    82. Complete rework of the adhesion physics on the Bpmmbdzf and IC coaches (feature)
    Status: Submitted to DTG.

    Workaround: N/A.
Details: Similarly to the BR 101 Expert adhesion update the Bpmmdzf cab car and the Avmmz and Bpmmz coaches have had their adhesion simulation updated. This should now be noticeable in the cab car by the brake cylinder pressure fluctuating if significant braking is applied. On the intermediate coaches the adhesion grows the further away from the lead vehicle due to the drying effect described above.
Note that this new adhesion simulation will make driving in rain or snow (or other situations with low adhesion like the leaf fall/icing conditions described above) more difficult and you will need to pay attention to the track conditions if significant deceleration is required (stopping for red signals or slowing down for speed restrictions) and sanding may be required or even an emergency brake application if you think you may not be able to stop or slow down in time.

    83. Added release detent on the Electric Brake lever on the Bpmmbdzf and BR 101 (feature).
    Status: Submitted to DTG.

    Workaround: N/A.
Details: The electric brake lever can be pushed forward to lock it in place if only air braking is desired. Simply push the lever forward to it's stops and it will lock in place. This means that you don't have to press and hold the lever forward if you want to apply air only when the train brake is in the Running position, like before. To recover the train brake - electric brake coupling you move the electric brake lever to whatever position the train brake lever is in (or move the electric brake lever back to the Running position and the levers will couple as soon as the train brake lever is moved there).

    84. Removed unused PIS screen from the Bpmmbdzf front to fix "ghost" screen zoom click spot.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.

    Workaround: Don't click on it.
Details: The Bpmmbdzf cab car had a left over PIS screen component in the front of the vehicle (from the intermediate coaches that have PIS screens both front and rear) and with the new "click to focus" core feature this became a visible issue.

I thought it is going to occur at 2 kph, but in my case it did occur at 1 kph... I guess that depends on train data and consist? mine was quite long and heavy

AFB cuts the power and reapplies holding brake at different speeds between 0 and 2 km/h (but never above since then you've cleared the condition) so if you apply low throttle or the train is heavy/gradient is steeper it will happen at a lower speed. It can happen at almost 0 km/h if you just apply like 5% throttle.

    85. Expert tutorial can become incompletable if the reverser is removed before it is set to 0.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.

Workaround: Be careful not to click on the reverser removal clickspot and make sure to only remove the reverser when it is in the "0" or Off position before leaving the BR 101.
Details: In the Expert tutorial there is a bug due to how the scenario was set up that could make removing the reverser possible without it being in the "0" position due to the scenario overriding the interlock logic. This has now been fixed.

    86. Several upgrades and fixes to the Expert tutorial.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.

    Workaround: N/A
Details: The Expert tutorial has been significantly altered to make the process more natural/realistic (some of the levers were in the wrong initial states or the sequence of tasks were incorrect before). LZB/PZB tests have also been added as tasks in both the BR 101 and the Bpmmbdzf sections.

    87. The scenario Touchdown fails to progress after the "Enable Train Line" task.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.

    Workaround: N/A
Details: The conditions for completing the Enable Train Line task was incorrect (not sure how it was completable after launch) and has been fixed.

    88. Both pantographs will incorrectly raise when raising a pantograph while both are down.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.

Workaround: In the Expert tutorial, before the "Raise pantograph" task, set the Pantograph Selection switch to "2", or leave it in auto but be aware that the ZSG SA Wechsel (pantograph switching) process will initiate once stopping the locomotive before coupling to the Bpmmbdzf.
Details: A bug in the pantograph switching logic made it always raise both pantographs if neither was deployed.

    89. Changed the door control logic of the BR 101 when coupled to non-Expert coaches to be compatible with the new update.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.

    Workaround: N/A
Details: A recent patch upgraded the door control jumper cable signal logic on all German coaches and locomotives (Thanks Maik Goltz !) so that we no longer have the mismatch between door sides opening. I have implemented the logic for the door controls of the BR 101 with non-Expert coaches to now work correctly. Door control with Expert coaches remains unchanged since it is totally independent.

That sounds big. Does that mean all German rolling stock now simulates the real jumper cable instead of the workaround simulation before?

No. All simulated a kinda real jumper cable already (not that Expert level what the 101 does). The problem was how the door commands were injected into that cable, what caused the incompatibilities. I solved that now with all the German rolling stock (i think). It's still in testing at this moment. If it releases, all German stock will work together and open the correct door sides. No matter if you put a 182 or Vectron, or any 143 before some Dostos of whatever route (including the TTC). Intention was to have it fixed for the BR218 so all the unwanted substitution makes some playable sense.

Really nice to have finally the expert timetables with the full simulated consists. One question about the static stock on the Yards. They were already on the minimum side in the original timetable, which is understandable due the performance. I noticed in the expert timetable, it was reduced to 1-2 static consists on the entire map.
Fulda Gbf is totaly empty now, same for Hanau. Was this inentional?

Im on PC, i just noticed a few static consists on the kinzlingtalbahn are missing in the expert timetable.

If you go into the dtg timetable there is a static consist at fulda gbhf. Also Hanau has a few static stock removed. Its not "gamebraking" just noticed becsuse i ran into an empty fulda.

Wanted to ask if there are plans to add the 111 services into the expert timetable.

Also will there be an update on the brake behavior on isolated bogies? Currently the brake pressure isnt building up on the isolated bogie.

The main priority for us is to fix the broken services on the Expert timetable, differences in static consists or non IC services are lower priority. Unfortunately I don't have an answer on when the broken Expert services will be patched, other than at least some of them have been fixed already in the beta build, but I don't know when this will be released (DTG).

I have identified a fix for the bug (quite simple fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you see it) but when that will be released falls under the same answer as above (sorry).

I just had a weird sound issue with tht 101 expert
I was running the 469 service from Fulda to Frankfurt and everytime i passed another BR101 the sounds of the passing train went haywire.
Very loud and it only stopped after going into the pause menu
