oh yea i also forgot to mention. In the livery creator. i dont know was this on purpose or a bug, because when you do a livery on one power car. the livery is forced mirrored on to the power car on the other end. Which ruins the realism of having 2 different power cars on each end. Will this issue be fixed in the remaster?
Could this be worked around using formation designer? I don't use it (I tried once last week, but got confused after trying to figure out why there were so many Bakerloo Line options, and then made three cars overlap somehow!)
kind of? though you wont be able to change the livery for the MK3 carriages as its stuck in GWR livery. You can make a livery for a solo power car (or more than 1) or just download solo power cars with different liveries. Then put 2 different power cars on each end. I usually do this with spawning in a locomotive with the MK3 sets, then delete the locomotive before spawning the 2 HST power cars i want and couple them with the carriages together and just have a blast with them.
Same, I would pay again as well as an extension to the main line. Hopefully in the next few years DTG decides to help liam and do this since its basically impossible on your own. I really like The stuff for the remaster Though.
DTG Liam after the remaster, will it be possible to just paint the mk3s and use them on creators club ect. So they aren’t connected to a power car but still have a livery on them? Intercity ect? Thanks
i feel like it would be very useful especially with Just Trains' wcml north with the 87 being able to run the friday charter (LSL0 on WCML south
Not sure if this is beeing answered yet, but, does the GWR livery still exist and is playable / part of the timetable ? Haven't seen it in the screenshots.
Think it was answered in another thread, GWR branding remains on the HST and 166 I believe, but you'll see much less of it in the new timetable bc of the era.
Yes GWR livery will still be payable and visible (branded). FGW, GWR 387 and HX services are addded but unbranded to add more variety, and realism for the time period. The changeover time from FGW to GWE before electrification is finished.
Yep, all still in the game and useable like before. The new FGW HST's and 166's are additions and will substitute randomly into the new timetable. They can also be spawned in free mode like other trains or picked from the main menu in timetable & conductor mode. No date yet. Still some work to do on the pack before it's ready.
My mind is thinking 57 on the riviera sleeper which they have on lease whilst doing exam on their own 57’s. However I feel it is long overdue for a 50 because we have virtually everything else and I feel you are discriminating against hoovers!
I saw a picture of it whilst at Haymarket one or two christmases ago being used as a Christmas tree adorned with fairy lights.
Question for whoever can answer! With the licences for FirstGroup and the way they have been perceived as petulant with regards to GWR licensing. Why does it seem to be only with GWR when they are part of Avanti (just released Pendolino) Lumo they were part of TPE and also SWR? Now I know we don’t have TPE, Lumo or SWR but you have just rolled out Avanti so surely that is building blocks to be able to add or readjust the GWE by extending it..I mean when will you ever include Bristol / Taunton / Exeter or Paignton rather than another iteration of London or more northerly routes?
Parent companies etc don't really matter - each brand is often licensed individually, some companies do it all together, some times different teams look after different brands and come to different decisions. In the case of First Group - all the licensing is done with the child companies, such as GWE, Avanti etc - not centrally with FirstGroup. Matt.
You are late to the party lol. It's a blue unbranded 166 and 43. They couldn't create anything new for a remaster unfortunately
We are getting a second segment of the WCML, from Preston - Carlisle, soon, but it's set in the 1980s so even if the gap from Carlisle to Glasgow or Preston to Milton Keynes was filled in, you wouldn't be able to do a continuous run from Glasgow to London in the same era (excluding Free Roam / Scenario Planner) The GWML is about a third of the way done so that could be possible, and ECML has no real hints. I'd imagine ECML London - Peterborough could be possible in terms of rolling stock, now that the Azuma and 700 are in-game. I don't imagine we'll see the full route for a long, long time, especially with the longer northern section (Edinburgh - Berwick/Newcastle) being pretty long.
Hey, If we're getting unbranded liveries for the 387 gwr, 387 Heathrow express and the first Great Western 166 and class 43. Would it be possible to download the branded versions off creator's club and see them running aswel?
It would be cool to be able to select what the liveries A.I trains used like if it was unbranded blue you could select FGW from the creators club or a mod and if it was unbranded green it could be a selected GWR(or any other creators club liveries) this could potentially be ported to other routes.
Bakerloo's route-hop points are coming to an 'update' to the Bakerloo Line. I understand that this should be separate to the GWE remaster.
Whilst we're waiting for the remaster, which are the most effective mods to enhance GWE? There's quite a few going back a couple of years, but it's not evident which still work and are compatible with each other. Cheers.
I have a question for Liam. Will we be able to use the unbranded 387s from GWE and make liveries on it?
You'll need London-Brighton for the 387, and that pack will be updated with all the reskins i believe.
Liam probably has a date in mind, but he doesn't want say in case he can't make that date I am guessing. We are all chomping at the bit, let him work, whenever it is done I am sure it will be worth the wait.
https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/gwe-remaster-appreciation-and-discussion-thread.83852/ This thread is a bit more up to date with screenshots and Liam has been very active with what he is planning on there as well.
