Running RSN with the new suspension-enabled stock from Frankfurt-Fulda leads to a very, very bouncy experience to the point where it is hard to look at. The original RSN stock route doesn't have this problem. Ran with the 143 and Dostos. Could this be a backward-compatibility problem with the RSN track layout? Just curious.
I think this is a problem with the way the track was set up rather than the trains, MSB is also a pretty bouncy route even without trains with suspension
Is there a 'track uneveness' setting put too high, or just sloppy trackwork? Does it even look like poorly laid, with visible bumps and squiggles? In TSC there is a setting 'track uneveness', but often the track itself is poorly laid and or joined/welded, esp going into and out of curves without easements, or superelevation without transition. which are clearly visible at track bed level.
That's what I'm thinking as well, that there isn't actually anything broken in the interaction: it is what it is with the updated trains.
I took the FTF Vectorn out on RSN and it wasn't too bad. I took it out on MSB and it was undrivable until I turned off suspension. This with the sway set at only 70%. Now MSB has always been like that, but I still wasn't prepared for all the bouncing craziness. I wonder if it is even possible to complete a service without derailing? I might get sick trying to find out!
Older routes has much more track unevennes compared to newer routes, so new rolling stock with improved suspension will be very bouncy on them.
I sorta like it, gives a bit of a "Ruggedness" feeling, other times however I feel like I'm about to bounce off the track entirely.
I did ask the question when feedback was requested about how suspension would perform on older routes. However the feedback thread wasn't really a two way conversation. An adjustable track uneveness setting, is this possible?
I would like to highlight especially to DTG that this type of bugs can have health consequences for players. Epilepsy is not caused just by flashing lights (in fact, very often isn't), but by rapid changes in perspective too. You do not have to have any previous precondition, anyone can get an epileptic attack at any point for the first time.
