Amazing work guys. I was really looking forward to this and it hasn't dissappointed. You've brought the route to life in so many ways, and the DC lines in particular are so much improved (can't wait for more with the missing LU services and freight).

I do have a minor bug report (running with the latest updates): all the 710 services starting at Euston which I have so far loaded partially spawn in the buffers, and then seem to clip out of them and slide down the tracks for a few metres. The train doesn't derail so it's not a game-ending bug, but worth knowing.

Also, I just ran 2D63, Class 710, Euston to Watford Junction. Signal WS37, the down starter signal at Stonebridge Park, was displaying a red aspect, but the AWS gave a proceed tone and the game thought it was green (calling the signaller gave a "proceed as signals indicate" message, and passing the signal didn't result in a game over). I have no other mods installed beyond Godmode and the "better UK signals" mod.

 

OK, 1H21 is now working fine. Have to wonder, this was happening on platform 13.

Just a thought about the freight. I watch the Camden Junction streaming cam and both up and down freights take the Camden Road route to bypass Euston and the down trains stop most times at the signal that is visible in the Cam 2 shot. That would be a great place to spawn them. Also just watched 2 Freightliner pass, the down train with a class 66 and the up one with 2 class 90s. Just went into the game map, with its enhancements can see the signal in question is WM 802 in down direction and WM 804 in up.

 

Signal WM372 (platform 9, London End) at Watford Junction seems a little broken and is not showing an aspect.

My bad, been avoiding WCML until the EP released. Guess we have to wait for Dovetail to patch that then.

 

OK, so after removing and painstakingly reinstalling my mods bit by bit then one by one, I finally found the culprit file.

I think this was a mod that swapped in some MK1's for MK2's for Blackpool branches, therefore I don't know why this would conflict with the WCML EP!?!

Signalling is nothing to do with us. We haven’t, and can’t, touch it. If you are having issue with signals direct them to DTG. With the signals as they are the TT works.

An update to the EP will be out before two long adding, removing and fixing a number of things.

ps Sub-mods, I don’t use them because they give unpredictable result and can cause all sorts of issues, the likes of those seen with this EP. Remove them and all will be well.

 

Have I missed something as I've downloaded everything that's needed but when I click on the 350/1 in timetable mode it says there is only 8 services.

Just ran an early morning up service and have to say the lighting is wonderful. Though the high-rise apartment blocks close to Euston seemed dark.

 

Caved in and got the add ons just to try out this add on.
I'm totally impressed thus far. I'll need to try out more routes to see how my system holds up, especially with nvidia's latest driver, windows 24h2, and lossless scaling. My system specs are listed in my video.

 

They must all be late risers then.

 

one thing i observed though and it might be a thing with dovetails and not the mod itself is that the passengers are not boarding the 72 stock train from Bakeroo line. It leaves empty from every stop. But at least the passengers are for the most part staying behind the yellow unlike previously.
another thing too is that the red light at one of the places where I had to stop and wait for dispatch to release me wasn't working. I had to rely on that thingy in the top right-hand corner to be told that I had a red signal. unless it's something I'm missing? That's a recipe for a major catastrophy right there! With mass casualities

 

Both of those are Bugs with the actual route unfortunately, not related to the EP/TT.
Hopefully DTG fixes them.

 

That will be because the lights were off. The curves on the route are screwed and the lights go off when it’s still dark. Bescot has tried in vain the alter them but they won’t play nice. It’s very annoying, because I put a lot of effort in to that lighting and when it’s on it looks good.

Please file a ticket with DTG if you think the environmental lighting is not on when it should be.

 

Welcome to Wembley Suburban panel. The issues you've got between Queen's Park and Harrow is LU stock. In real life the LU drivers hate NR signalling, so without knowing where you got stuck it's hard to say that you're waiting regulation or a bug. Some 710 LO trains have quite a long dwell time at Queen's Park to allow for LU stock to head up to the depot at Stonebridge Park.

 

You guys seriously knocked it out of the park—WOW. It looks incredible, and this is the most immersed I’ve been in a route in YEARS. The fact that WCMLS went from my least favorite to my favorite of the three new routes because of this expansion says everything. Cab ride and features overview video dropping tomorrow! Amazing job!!

 

Would it be possible to the parts missing from Kilburn Park?

 

Got stuck with an infinite red signal approaching Euston, only to find that there was a queue of trains all stuck in front of me.

Wow, so much traffic on the route now, most impressed with this pack - thanks everyone who made it. Ran fine at 1080p on my Ryzen 7 5800X with an RTX 3070 GPU, JetWash's mod on High as I usually do - albeit Euston was a 15fps slo-mo when I arrived on a 350, time to start looking at lossless scaling I think!

 

Not sure how far I will get with this, but been beavering away at this this evening, aim to make a representation of a 350/4

 

It escapes me why PC players are saddled with Addon Manager, which was IIRC a workaround for the PS5 DLC size limitations imposed arbitrarily by Sony. So, DTG, what benefits does this bring on PC except to apparently cause modders frustration?

 

Nice job on the Enhancement Pack, really brings the route to life in a manner the base product can't match. Shame about the handling of feedback though, especially since I also feel the orange army are maybe a little too eager to get to work. Maybe something a bit closer to the MML EP would be more reasonable.

Mod developers, you may put in some great work making great mods but that doesn't excuse completely unnecessary rudeness when people are giving you genuine feedback. It isn't personal so be adults and don't be a part of what's toxic with this community.

Doesn't grant them the right to be treated with such contempt though. Not the first time I've seen it either from modders, but it'd be crass of me to make things personal.

 

Because it´s super frustrating when you spend days and weeks modding stuff for free and then people come along and moan. I would also be mad. In the end they will just stop releasing stuff for the public and it´s spoilt for everyone. Seen it enough times with the TSC community... sometimes just one more stupid comment tips things over the edge and the modders disappears along with his content.

 

They have literally received standing ovations from dozens of people both here and on the mod page and literally just a couple people have made nitpicks.

Literally nobody is saying this mod is poor - you are massively reading into that.

 

If the OP of the orange army suggestion had articulated their point in a more childish manner, I'd agree. However, I don't see the issue with them phrasing it the way they did, so to be treated like a child who's been told they have to come off the swings is unwarranted.

 

Exactly. How you respond to an entirely neutral and objective comment is your responsibility at the end of the day.

It actually makes life a lot easier if you give people benefit of the doubt with the intent of their comments. Yep, you can't please everyone, but most people who make these observations aren't doing it with any malice.

 

I see another drama is brewing over some words over social media. Sometimes this place seems like an episode of Eastenders but with even worse acting and where the plot never ends.

I can understand that "suggestions" on how something can be done better or some other such improvements could be made, would be galling, when people are giving up their time and talents for free to create and improve things. Plus they are probably trying to sort out the genuine issues which have occurred.

 

Heck they probably just need sleep! It's easy to take stuff like that personally. It's like someone telling you your baby would look great in blue, while you've just spent an hour getting them dressed in red. You're gonna take it personally. (I do have a baby, but I am not a fashionista so this analogy is a bit rubbish, sorry).

Seen it happen far too many times though. Like, I understand how it feels to have people pick apart a passion project, but it's happened one too many times for it to just be brushed off. And on this occasion it felt just way too overzealous.

 

If I spent a month working on a massive project like this without getting paid and someone moans about something trivial as that i'd be a little annoyed too. Some people really do get hung up on tiny things yet ignore the bigger issues.

If you ask me the fact that modders have completely saved the route in only a month speaks volumes about the lack of quality control and unrealistic deadlines at DTG and Rivet. They can and must do better.

 

That is true, however I don't think DTG and Rivet being incompetent is justification for getting snappy when someone expresses their thoughts on a small detail. Yes, it's streets, if not cityblocks ahead of the base offering (I've not seen anyone denying as such tonight) but feedback is feedback, and for modders who disliked Rivet's approach to handling feedback (i.e. do it yourself if you think you're so smart), to take a leaf out of that company's playbook is frankly uncalled for.

 

Whether or not the initial snappiness was "justified", it's really lacking understanding of the sacrifices involved in making a pack like this (e.g. simple sleep depravation is enough to make people a little bit grouchier than they otherwise would be) to highlight it and bring it up to everyone's attention. And that is why you are getting so much pushback.

If there were a pattern of seriously bad behaviour it would be one thing, but you gotta learn to let things slide dude.

The rest of us continue to appreciate this torrent of awesome free stuff

 

I'm not discounting the sacrifices at all. I just didn't find it funny the first time I saw a modder do it, and a friend of mine today found it even less funny when they absent-mindedly were reading comments on the WCML page. I know they've poured a metric shed-ton of time, effort and soul into the thing, no-one has been denying that to my knowledge, but this is multiple modders deciding to go in with barbs on small feedback when it really wasn't necessary, fatigue or not.

 

It may not have been necessary, but highlighting their response isn't necessary either. Do you see what I'm saying?

And for the record, I do appreciate modders. I started off on Xbox One in the TSW2020 days, and while the game has gone from strength to strength since then, it has a lot to thank modders for, and I salute their efforts. I just don't think being saviours of a game grants them the right to treat someone giving feedback in a horrible manner.

 

I've seen multiple modders do this to varying degrees (and I've been on the receiving end of ableist slurs for giving my opinion on a route before) and this is frankly the worst I've seen it.
