there are some on the newer German routes.
One of them is Rosenheim Salzburg when crossing the border, another one is Vorarlbergbahn when crossing the border. The only completely German routes that has them is Riesa Dresden. They are between Riesa and Nünchritz right after the switch section in the curve

I believe Aschaffenburg has El 6 signals (meaning that OHLE is ending)

They are not so majorly common on the German network. The areas tend to be quite big. Mind you, I am pretty certain on the bridge in Oldenburg you even have to lower the panto and this was not implemented, so there may be more missing. But I am pretty certain that there are none between Frankfurt and Fulda irl either…

No, the Oldenburg bridge is fully wired.

Yes, I was sure there were El4‘s. Funny thing is, I believe that I have only seen them going into the station. Are you maybe aware if they are also installed going out of the station?

I looked at a cab ride video on yt from 2019 from the direction of Oldenburg. I can't see El 4's or El 5's from the direction of the station, only from the opposite direction

From what I have been told, the wires on the bridge at Oldenburg are connected in a sort of Y-shape. So going across the bridge with the pantograph raised is fine in the direction away from Oldenburg, but if the locomotive is moving towards Oldenburg there is a risk of the pantograph getting caught in the connection and damage occurring. Thus the signs on only one side.

Something like this, if I understood it correctly:

That would make sense considering how the bridge raises.
