I have downloaded a scenario for a Czech route which has been slowly extended over the years. Each time a new version was released the route Hex code changed very slightly This was one earlier version bb67d9cf-4164-491b-b834-7548bbb92f95 In a later version the Hex changed bb67d9cf-4164-491b-b834-7548bbb92f99 And I would like the place scenarios for an earlier shorter route in to the longer version But they don't seem to work as expected. I try to open them but they go bump with Out of Memory - the route seems ok and I can run QD's and Free Roams
Are the scenarios career or standard?...do they feature rolling starts etc? A change in route GUID won't/shouldn't affect a scenario.
It's the reason you can only publish scenarios for a route on Workshop once a route is marked as finalised. Else scenarios can break. You can however repair them.
Peter, those ScenarioNetworkProprerties will be based on the original track plan. The route now though uses a different track plan, as it's extended. Result = a mis-match. Remove one of those files and try loading the scenario. It will fail to load as the markers will be *missing* but as long as it doesn't fall over to the desktop you can rebuild those instructions.
The base route was from a junction thru to another station - the extensions added more track at the junction station as did not affect any other markers
It is the Trat 140 but I downloaded it from a Czech website. https://rw.jachyhm.cz/category/download/ - part way down. In the end I decided to remove that version and install the one from Usti to Cheb And with a few swaps the scenarios are working. A problem with TS Tools One of the scenarios was set in Winter so I used TS Tools to edit the weather to Summer. Saving the scenario caused TS Tools to remove trains that had a missing loco. The work round was to change the locos in LocoSwap then edit the Weather in the ScenarioProperties file
But it will have affected Tracks,bin...that's what is used to build the ScenarioNetworkProprerties file.
I deleted the extended version and installed the shorter version and the scenario worked (ignore the loco)
Yeah, as you'd expect...but you want to use it in the extended version! Take out the ScenarioNetworkProprerties.bin file and try it on the extended route; as I wrote earlier it won't run, as markers will be missing, but hopefully it won't crash so you'll be able to edit the instructions/add markers
There does not seem to be any scenarios for the extensions yet so I'm happy with the shorter version at 181kms
