The PC and console versions of TSW cost the same, but the PC version includes CSX Heavy Haul at no additional cost, meaning console players are left out of pocket because they get less for the money. Considering CSX may never come to consoles, I think DTG should make a route exclusive for consoles to replace CSX. I wouldn't mind a revival of Seeburgbahn but a longer route probably would be needed as CSX was much longer.

How long does it take to cross CSX? That should be the time taken to cross this console-only route.

Think about that for a second. There are reasons why consoles didn't get CSX. Technical reasons. And these would effect any other route of comparable length as well. Unless they cut down on scenery, fidelity, services...

Actually, the main problems are with the game itself. The consoles only care about what is loaded at any moment, not the size of the route. That's why Test Drive Unlimited exists on the PSP. As CSX was made when TSW was still being made, it will run significantly different on consoles to a new route with a similar length as it was made very differently. Even if CSX could be optimised for consoles by reducing detail, the fact is DTG would have to get busy with the coding for it actually to get working properly.

I think console exclusive routes isn't the way to look at things, the idea is to make the sim as close to each other by version as possible. I also think CSX will come to console when the new consoles come next Christmas. If they are as powerful as rumoured it'll run no problem.

    No. Just no.
ANY platform exclusive content in TSW is bad, Sand Patch included.

Because the route was developed more than a year before console release, probably before they even reached decision on consoles.
Devs stated multiple times that releasing the CSX route would require recreating it from scratch or major work on the game itself. If it wasn't a matter of 6+ months of development time, they would have done it already. It's not exclusive for exclusivity's sake.

The best solution would be a new US heavy freight route available to all platforms.
