    I spent a few hours yesterday morning chilling out watching the comings and goings at Harrow & Wealdstone and Watford, with the timetable using real life 2024 timings, I thought I'd add a bit more realism by having the web page below opened, synced the game to real time.

    Most of it was spot on, obviously delays/cancellations and being a Saturday service in real life meant it didn't match 100% and platforms were slightly different at Euston but it didn't half add to the immersion, especially the auto announcer mod when travelling on the 710.

    DTG really need to look at having both auto announcements onboard trains and at stations for core addition for TSW6

    Those who have encountered the endless "disembarking passengers" at Euston - just wait. Approximately +2 minutes from the scheduled arrival time. Then close the doors.

    I am going back to the series of posts related to the issue with the 710s crashing just prior to arriving at the first stop after leaving Euston when you cross the AWS magnet just before leaving the tunnel and getting to the platform. I went back just now and ran it with safety systems off. It still gives that UE crash. Course found out that the 710 will not start if TPWS is isolated, so have to get it running then cut it off. This issue is definitely related to the base route and has nothing to do with these mods. What is interesting about then is, they are time related, early in the evening, and seemingly not related to having safety systems on or off, even though the trigger point seems to be that AWS magnet. These have been reported in the problem thread for WCML early in its release.

    Can someone please point me in the right direction for the .ini edit for passengers. I was sure it was on this thread but I cannot find it. I thought that it was a Jetwash post/response.

    I was sure that Jetwash had made a post detailing the settings and the ini command that they worked with. prehaps when he comes back on line he maybe able to help.

    Thanks I have got that pack but I cannot find any reference to Passenger ini settings. That was the manual that I complimented you on a couple of weeks ago.

    Passengers > ini file > uploaded mod by JetWash on..... You guessed it, TSC (Train Sim Community).

    So cannot wait for the day freight drops!! Driving the 710, 350 and 390 are fun and all but I sure do love the 66 as it feels like a bit more of a challenge to drive (albeit slower as well). Would be very cool if JT decided to release a Class 86 as their loco DLC as would be great for freight runs (although it would be taking a bit of liberties with the time period). Whatever happens I'm very excited for what we get in terms of the timetable as the current release is very good!!

    I'd be more than fine with a couple of years out in the time period, double header Class 86 on Freightliner duties would be awesome. Break up the monotony of the Class 66 all the time as well.

    It runs as before for me. Maybe something visual, that I didn't notice. But timetable works, AI's running.

    Thank you for your works on this pack, it is really appreciated. One thing I've noticed is that since the update I can't guard services as it says 'Service Failure - Guard left service' or something like that, I got a clip of it but it won't let me upload so I'll post some screenshots Screenshot 2024-10-29 114933.png Screenshot 2024-10-29 114944.png

    I tried to guard a service from Milton Keynes instead of Euston and it departed as normal, so a bit strange

    I have a strange issue effecting AI passengers on North bound services only.

    I am on 390 service 9S44 Euston - Edinburgh and there are no Passengers at any stations either stopped at, or on-route.
    I then tried 350 Service 2K09 Euston - Milton Keynes there are no AI passengers at any stations, only Network Rail crew.
    Next 1Y04 350 service Northampton - Euston Passengers at all stations.
    Next 2B06 350 service Bletchley - Euston. Passengers at all stations.

    All services are between 05;45 and 07:00

    It's because passenger spawning has a set limit of 100 NPCs. If you start at Euston without any ini changes, you use the entire limit up there.

    LOL, so the 100 peds don't travel along the world together with your train, so you have a populated platform at every stop?

    it's the same with cars probably, when the line runs parallel a busy highway, there are stretches full of cars, and deserted stretches inbetween.
    Not even mentioning cars/trucks/buses floating above the pavement, or ploughing through it and many stretches of road with some kind of coarse surface instead of concrete/asphalt with lines?

    Not to excuse DTG, but the automotive traffic issues have existed, I believe, since TSW first came out and have never been fixed. They say its due to putting in the path they follow as a separate item from the roadway that they seem to travel on.

    That's broadly true of all computer graphics. What we see is basically a visual illusion that has no substance. As far as the game is concerned reality is the invisible collision boxes-which only approximate the shapes we see and think are "there." When the top of the collision box named "road" and the visual representation of "road" don't quite coincide, we get floating or submerged cars

    I've tried three runs with the enhancement pack, it's brilliant, transformative and hugely appreciated. Thank you for taking up your own time to bring such an essential improvement to the PC-playing community.

    The only problem I've had is that I keep nodding off. This caused one AWS emergency stop, one SPAD and a 5mph collision with the buffers at Euston. I don't think it's the EP or DTG's error though, I think I may be coming down with something.

    I excitedly await the TSW Players' Energy & Stamina Enhancement Pack. I'm off to bed.

    I consistently get a UE engine crash to desktop on service 9G49 (Class 390/1 AWC London Euston - Wolverhampton). Crash occurs always in the tunnel before reaching Queens Park.

    Sorry for posting it in this thread but I'm unsure of the cause and just reaching out to see if others using this mod experience the same on this particular service ? I may get crashes on other services also...but this is the one Ive been able to take note of and may be related to the latest update.

    Just finished this service and did not encounter a UE crash. Have to admit, it was a fun service to drive. Not your usual 390 of getting it to 125, set the speed set and watch the scenery go by. Down slow line from Euston to Watford junction, over to down fast on leaving Watford, then get another blinking double just past being able to set speed, back to the down slow and finally be behind another train approaching Milton Keys which kept me chasing double yellows all the way in.

    Thanks for running the service (glad you enjoyed it). I have managed to figure out what was causing it and it may just be unique to my system.
    I was running the ultra quality god mode preset in Jetwash's Lighting & Visual Quality Enhancement v1.1 mod and I decided to bump this back to the High preset (which still looks awesome btw)....and I get no more crashes in the tunnel
    Can somebody run that service using the same preset (ultra) to see if that service crashes for them in the tunnel ? Its a bit of a weird issue but happy just to run the High preset from here on out if it means no more UE crashes :)

    Just ran it on Jetwash's Ultra preset (and Ultra overall setting in game) and it ran ok

    The lighting side of the mod is identical across all the presets. The main differences between the presets are performance related and between Ultra and High specifically mostly down to object and shadow quality, their draw distance as well as general LOD enhancements. Although I’ve not explicitly said it in the manual this time it’s been mentioned enough times over the last couple of years that Ultra should only really be the preserve of 3080 or better GPUs (and a 3080 would struggle at a resolution above 1440p) depending on the resolution the game is running at. I can’t judge that for every machine, there has to be a bit of trial and error by the user on that one.

    Ultra is unashamedly and intentionally demanding and is setup on my 3090, it most certainly isn’t for every machine.

    Using an RTX 3080Ti and playing at 4K, can confirm even the High preset brings performance down to gpu's knees at Euston

    I am running a 4090 and San Bernadino bring me down into the 20s from my limit set of 63. With WCML I tend to stay above 50 for the entire run.

    i just ran a part of that route using lossless scaling, and while i didn't get a crash, i got a brutal stutter or mini-freeze just as I got to the first tunnel. shortly before I reached the end of the journey i removed lossless scaling and it ran ok. game locked at 60 and occasionally went to 58. didn't use the enhanced lighting system yet though. i went back to 23h2, again.
    what were your settings?

    Thanks for the detailed reply. I have a 4070Ti and have no issues normally running the ultra preset on other routes (and other services on WCMLS)

    I have only had 1 UE crash and it's always on this service in the exact same spot on the route (in ultra). On high preset I fly through that section no dramas

    Its super weird but I'm happy to work around it by just using the high preset

    Due to the nature of PCs, theres just too many variable involved to pinpoint why mine is doing this when others are fine....but I appreciate everyone's feedback :)

    i wouldn't blame your mod persay, even though in certain spots it does take a toll on my rtx 3080. i'm guessing that it goes back to the fact that the game hasn't been properly utilized to use all cores. that may be something dovetails needs to work on

    oh that route is brutal. with lossless on i used to get a total game freeze which resulted in me having to do a system restart. otherwise i'd start out at 40 something, move up to 60s, then right back down to the 40s, even 30s.
    and i ended up having to go full emergency at one time and got penalized for it.

    Yet I’m able to keep a constant 30fps (x2=60 with LS) across the whole route the couple of times I’ve played it. Same with WCMLS

    I really am baffled as to why you’re having these issues with lossless scaling. I’ve had none of them.
