This is what I voiced at the start of TSW when it was in initial development I said Consoles is throwaway gamers and lower powered laptops are not meant for these simulators. It’s meant for high end PCs. Thankfully modding is PC only, and with talented souls like these are, it makes me consider TSW as I stopped after TSW 2

 

Fawx, a most interesting timetable mashup. I am running LO service 2D75 and encountered a red at the exit of Kenton. Looked at the map and ahead at Harrow and Wealdstone trains were stopped and bunched together. The issue seems to be a set of tube trains all trying to get into one short turn back siding. I removed 232-12, the first one, and things started to move than it stopped again because 212-06 had moved into the siding and 240-07 was pressed up right behind, again trying to get into that siding. Here is a grab of the map at that location. Also noted is LO up service 2C26 that is showing "off path".

 

will 390 'Progress' and opportunity be improved?
the loading times of those are longer or somewhat bugged
if you start the service immediately the service will freeze a bit
the first 2 times i had a crash on the london to wembley depot (5M60)
3rd time i let it full loadin before i clicked the start service button and then i was able to finish it

 

suddenly when i start LS... now my screen gets darker like the gamma value change anyone on this ?

had to activate hdr support in LS

Improved in what way? I haven’t had any issue with them I’m afraid.

 

I'm having an issue with guard mode on the 350s- even if I go up to the guard panel it doesn't recognise I'm wanting to take that service in Guard Mode.. any ideas what's going wrong?

 

You have to start guard mode from the main menu on the EP, you can't do it by spawning/already in TT mode.

 

Yep, I can only select it from the main menu for the Eurovision liveried 350

Fawx, reran service 2D75, LO to Watford Junction. At Kenton still saw the tube train stack up at H&W with them trying to get into that turn back siding. Deleted the first two, 232-12 and 212-06, once that was done, completed the run without issues other than 1 minute lated at Watford.
I am running most recent tt update.

 

It looks like one of Class 805 cab has raindrops and the other doesn't. Graphics on ultra except clouds.
As example 1R02 - no raindrops in front cab, but they are in a tail cab.

 

IIRC that's a bug with the base 801?

 

Maybe. I didn't notice this bug in TSW4, but I didn't drive 801 in TSW5.

 

Work continues on both the EP & TT. A little comparison between Queens Park in the default game and with my lighting and the current, as yet unreleased, version of the WCMLS EP. In game this is at 0615am on July 11th

I still seem unable to guard services starting at EUS, saying 'Service failure: Guard left service.', any tips? For reference I spawned on foot as it said in the manual

 

Another thing to note, at some stations passengers leave the train and just stand there, blocking other passengers

 

Thank you! Started getting worried when running a service last night but it finally finished. Glad I didn't close out of the game lol.

 

It happens on every route, so it's a TSW core bug, not EP.

Update 6 is now available and contains the following further enhancements;

• Added stop block lights to London Euston and Harrow Turnback Sidings
• Added a lot of further graffiti and clutter along the DC portion of the route to better create the feel of North London, including many more custom made graffiti decals and tags.
• Also added further ‘grime’ to buildings and bridges where the default route has pristine clean brick
• Added the poppy to the front of the 72Stock as per real world for the timetable date at the end of October 2024
• Next update will be a compatibility update when DTG launch their own WCMLS improvements

I do have a question for the modders.

Is it at all possible to change the awful over the top tint/darkness of the passenger indoor windows on the 350 and 390, they are set ridiculously dark as default by DTG/Rivet (whoever modelled them) it can be nearly pitch black looking out the windows at noon on a clear day at times and I do spend most of my time riding is a passenger in the game.

Understand if it can't be done as access to the uncooked files would probably be required?

 

This requires a model change, which I simply dont find is worth the effort. The window tints on the 390 are very dark in reality anyway.

 

Yeah, thought it may of been a major change, no probs.

When you say tints on the 390 are very dark IRL, at least you can see out of the window on a cloudy day at noon, do that in TSW and you barely see a thing, same goes for the 350.

Anyway it is what it is and appreciate your response. I will put in the suggestions thread for DTG to tone down the tinting of windows but will fall on deaf ears I suppose.

 

Aside from these recurring problems is it fun to play still? Until TSW 6 next year

There isn't, that's a bug.

Afternoon all.

You’ll have seen update 7 made the EP compatible with the recently released official update (well done DTG!) and included some cool new features and changes. A new update has just been pushed for the EP (update 8) so read on to find out why…

Those sensible people amongst you using Fawx’s epic timetable may have noticed that the pantographs were unfortunately automatically down on the Class 350’s. This was as a result of the simulation rework-work/update to that unit in the official update which meant the train no longer auto-picked it’s power source, and as such a switch needed flicking in the editor to make the train use AC power.

In the background Fawx has been working away at the timetable where this problem was already rectified but this left a quandary…release an update to the TT with this fix already in or wait until it is fully ready? I’m pleased to say that an interim version of the timetable has been released that fixes this problem.

Why ‘interim’?

Contained within it are a lot of work in progress freight services and as such the timetable now includes some freight, primarily intermodal. This isn't finished currently so the class 87s are missing liveries. GBRF and Freightliner Class 66’s are now available in update 8 of the EP. As a bonus, guardmode is also now working properly since the official update.

However, to reiterate, the freight was not intended to be released at this point but it has become necessary to fix the 350 pantograph issue. It is work in progress and as such no answers to questions about the freight will be forthcoming. When it is complete it will be mega, and what you have here in the meantime is already seriously good.

Hi Jetwash, issue with 66704 and maybe other 66's in this pack. The horns can't be heard while in the cab.

 

I could hear the horn on the one I was driving but its real faint.

 

What did I say….

 

That the freight wasn't intended to be released at the moment and is interim. But you hinted in your post that it was the timetable that was interim, not the actual skins/locos you've included.

 

None of it was ready to be released yet. All of it is work in progress.

 

OK, well just feeding back that the horns in cab are quite low. Freight services for GBRf are spot on. Did offer to Fawx to help with any further services you guys wanted information on, still stands.

 

FWIW the guys have just tested the horns and they sound normal so I don’t know what is causing that.

 

It's fine externally, with a window open it's very faint. In the cab you hear the air go in to the horn, but no actual horn.

 

Whatever was intended or not I just had a thoroughly enjoyable time driving the 87 (The 2 hour long one).
Wasn't prepared for the "One minute waits" though. But those will make an excellent trainspotting video.

 

Regarding any sound issues on the shed. It's a reskin. Any sound issues will be part of the parent dlc (SEH RHTT). No sounds were modified, and neither can this reskin affect sounds.

 

I was driving the DB red 66 on service 6O26 and when I compared it with a DB red one in the DTG tt, the sounds were very close in the cab with windows closed and the train stopped.
