Just Trains Making Wcml Over Shap And Br Class 87

I would like if it was Windermere. Briefly lived in Kendal for 5 months in early 1977 and was right at the end of Kettlewell Road virtually next to the line as it heads off to Burneside. Though most of the memories of that time are not that great - the locals (certainly on the estate where we moved to) were not that tolerant of people from outside the area and we got lots of grief, but I do have fond recollections of watching the trains and stretching my pocket money for a couple of rides to Windermere and back!

 

There was trackwork in the map on the preview stream for Windemere, wasn't there?
Whatever it is, I'll have to catch up on it later, started work on a project a day early. so I can get some free time to play the route tomorrow evening!

 

If it were to be Windermere (which I think is unlikely) what station would it have? The old station closed and the new station opened in 1986 (27th of April to be exact)

 

As long as it isn't a delay, I'm literally counting the seconds till tomorrow now!

 

I doubt is a delay because JT described it as exciting on Facebook. No one in their right mind would call a delay of any kind as “exciting”

Sort of yeah, for those who buy it from the JT store their email address will go into a "raffle" with three people being picked, those "winners" will be refunded the cost of the DLC, so a giveaway raffle but after the fact as it were

Erm, okay. Back to your lives then, citizens. I was hoping for confirmation their loco DLC was the Class 86 and coming in time for Christmas, so a bit underwhelming particularly as I will be buying from Steam!

 

in the grand scheme of things yeah the raffle isn't that exciting but its still good news for PC folks,

 

I see at Oxenholme they have the small passengers with no legs or torso , that escaped from the platform at blue anchor. Must of borrowed under ground and headed north.

The 101 still sounds quite " synthetic" if I'm being picky.

 

Other than the oxeholme issues have other issues been found yet.

 

Yes I pointed that out earlier in the thread (Oxenholme) but seems to have been glossed over as core issue. In which case why aren’t DTG commenting or even better getting on and fixing it!

im in shock right now, this is the largest DLC in the game, it is 19! Yes, 19GB


This is a fat DLC.

this is 8GB more than KWG, the largest route in the game.

 

Must of been a bit embarrassing for JT trying to ignore the platform shampoo (head and shoulders) at Oxenholme.

Not a day one purchase for me as it's too modern And I'm on gen 8 so.........

 

What did JT say the odds were for getting a full rake of either BR blue InterCity coaches or full InterCity livery coaches?
I know the odds were extremely low.

Fired up the game and went to the training/intro module and hey presto, a full BR blue InterCity rake (must have been intentional for the training module though as I restarted it and again got a full BR blue IC rake).

 

A. that “platform shampoo” is a core issue, nothing to do with the route itself.

B. how is it too modern?? LOL

 

There's no banking at Tebay, and no firebox in the 87

 

After a bit of indecision with the gen 8 situation I have gone and bought it, just have to play half of it in free roam!

 

There might be if you isolate a couple of traction motors and overheat the rest…

 

and what could possibly weigh so much? length of the route? textures? rolling stock?

Can I ask why Steam over getting it direct from JT? Genuinely curious.

 

There was even one in the DTG Stream very early out of Preston coming the other way. Its rare but not impossible.

 

I think Tom said on the stream if you buy it from JT you just get a steam download code so I don't know how much difference it makes

 

On one of the streams, I do believe the odds for getting a full rake were stated as 5%.

 

The difference is that if you buy directly from JT, they get 100% of the money. If you buy from Steam, they get less of your money after Steam takes their cut.
Also, if you buy directly from JT, you can earn reward points which you can then use as a discount towards other purchases directly from the JT store.

 

The way to go is the JT website, they get 100% of it, and they probably deserve that, given the amount of effort they have put into this route
