Can we please do justice to the Grand Union Canal as the major historic transport feature of this western corridor from London to Reading and to the Thames at Oxford ? At many places when the canal should be visible in a camera view, it is absent unless the rail line is crossing it. The green space is sometimes a golf course, so i am supposing some detail will appear ... In low sun, as along MML, distant fields look like glaring sheets of ice in old GWE. The worst jarring aspect of freight on GW route is the waiting passengers strolling the edges of the platforms as my consist passes them at near 60 mph !
Really happy for the remaster but feel an extension to Swindon or Oxford would have been worthwhile and I am sure people would be happy to pay for that!
Even Didcot would have been good. I’m happy to see the remaster but the question is whether or not it’s a comprehensive rebuild or polishing a you know what?!
It's being done by a single dev in his own free time after actual work. It's basically a rework of everything so it'll take time
DTG Liam is currently working hard on fixing WCMLS, so this project is behind that in priority - understandably, WCMLS has a lot needed to fix it and Liam is the guy to do it!
GWE remaster is still in the works. As mentioned above WCMLS is taking up my time currently so it has been quiet on the GWE side of things. Pretty much every single part of GWE has been overhauled/rebuilt, from timetable and track to whole scenic areas and stations, all bought to TSW 5 standards
Will my services that I have already played carry over into the remaster. How many more services will be on top? And will old scenarios be getting refreshed?
Thanks very much Liam for the response. I understand the amazing workload you have put in and I am sure it will be evident when the remaster gets released. I am sure everyone in this forums community will applaud you for your work
