I was doing some edits to Andy's South Lancs & North Cheshire route by swapping the default 2D track over on some sections (Mainly round Crewe area) to the AP track (Not messed with the track rule) but when I go to save any changes to the track the game instantly dumps. I have gone back and forth with Andy to try and get to the bottom of the problem but to no avail. I'm asking if anyone who is way more knowledgeable can give some insight to what is going on as I am pretty much out of options at this point on what to do.
You'd be better off asking in the General forum, but in a blank area of the route can you lay a section of AP pack successfully?
I think the track nay be locked to avoid changes when editing by the author---not to stop us doing it but to prevent him making a mess of things when doing the scenery. I'm sure Andy wrote about it in the thread at https://railworks.freeforums.net/thread/6/south-lancs-north-cheshire-blue
Yes that's right Gary - in the meantime though I have sent Kyle a version of the Tracks Folder on which I had removed the read-only attribute, this did not work for Kyle.....I also sent him Steve's version of the folder ( Steve handles track and signalling on Slancs now ) and that did not work for Kyle either.....that was the point at which I ran out of ideas.
