I mean i was going to do more than "just swap stock" - i was going to go over it and replace it with ones from the WTT (I can't even remember what i used for the above though )
Fair enough, I'll just upload it then crediting you Final QA run before uploading. The PDL with APVeg looks gorgeous. This route is a visual pleasure (I think I last played it ages ago without enhancements - now it's showing its full beauty. Marvelous.
But what about the fact that there are different markers? Did you know about that? I have had a thought of converting scenarios, but I worry it might be too difficult. LOL
I know how to make scenarios, I'm just not creative enough to make my own. So I'm repairing and restoring, that's my thing. I've converted RS scenarios to RW using a texteditor only
Funny you say that. I managed to teach someone how to make scenarios without having created my own. Also gone through some real timetables and mapped some train paths from RTT, but have yet to actually try to put anything together (it's a long Workshop route).
Toothpaste Railtour v2 available now https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3373362265
Just in case i'd suggest mentioning the Kuju assets, because people might not realise ) (I think the Carriages and the 166s are from there, unless of course you've removed those )
Thanks Danny, forgot that PDLWaterloo is self contained. Requirement ELAP added (DTG, ship this with the core finally please.... )
I had the "fun" of copying all the kuju assets across with all their "random number files" - lets just say headbutting a wall would have been more productive with the kuju naming
Wow! and ouch - i never understood why people would do that? I mean why stop people from using assets? I mean they have to buy your stuff to use it, meaning they would get money from others using them in routes surely?
He even set his assets to non-pickable and "eExcludeFromBrowserList" iirc. But credit as he was a pioneer as first independent 3rd party, day one RS creator (and Fort Smith - Heavener is a really decent route). But hey DTG, why the GeoPcDx vertex encryption?
Rich Garber was and indeed still is a bit eccentric and I agree about Fort Smith - Heavener (now a KCS route).
Yes, but you can't copy a DTG Geo into any other product folder (unless you like polygon madness). I think Rich just wanted to prevent others redistributing his assets, making them a hassle to use.
I mean they have to protect their assets somehow though? I mean without that people can just put them on the internet? (Just playing devil's advocate - i mean equally people still do apparently).
That was my point, Rich tried to protect his assets the best way he could at that time. So, can you ask your boss to make the Diesel Shunters available for everyone then?
I get that - but I only meant there was a difference between renaming assets so no one can use them at all in other routes, vs a key that restricts the folders (I have no ill will against any one - just more surprised at the former )
Brute force - make them useless so people don't want to copy and redistribute them. Still he doesn't allow any modifications to his routes, but that's to be accepted. Same with Thomson's Trent Valley. Played the scenario?
