We are at train sim world 5 and we still have the same issues plaguing the sim from several years ago!

    mountains still pop in.
    Trees pop in.
    Shadows pop in from objects.
    Ballast shadows pop in.
Fences render as you pass them.

yes it’s great the track has been somewhat fixed but there’s immersion breakers everywhere.

And on another note, there’s still a lack of care and polish with scenery. The roads and cars especially are grating. Cars still skid around corners, road markings are wrong, roads don’t align, roads don’t have pavements etc.

Cmon guys, the trains look great and it can look really stunning at times it’s just the lack of spit and polish. Please look into improving these aspects, it’s 2024!

The other thing that is a bit of an immersion breaker is if you have the ambient sound at 100% you can still hear birds tweeting and outside noise no matter how fast you are going, inside of the train cab... Can be pretty irritating at times. It's another small issue that needs sorting.

The Z-Fighting in loco cabs and other random places is annoying. One minute it's fine, then the whole thing goes HAL9000.

Speaking of cars, on the LIRR route, Atlantic Avenue which is the road that you run alongside between East New York and Nostrand Avenue is way too quiet. The road is rather busy in real life. Also, there is a sold double yellow line on the road heading eastbound/westbound which is not realistic. Atlantic Avenue is a one way road heading eastbound/westbound. There shouldn't be a double yellow line on that road

I couldn't agree more. The draw distance is terrible on Xbox. I know DTG said they are looking into improving this for Series X as currently it is the same for all Xbox consoles. The series X should be able to handle more than it does.

For me it is still the stuttering and sound squelching. Worse than ever in TSW5, present on PS5 as well as PC so not a case of potato computer. It is really starting to ruin the experience of driving the 87 on WCMLOS. Even my missus who was busy behind me in the computer room, remarked when the sound dipped and squelched, “What the f… is that?” (She doesn’t mince her words).

On PC I get that squelch sound now and again, I can put up with that, it's complete sound cut out's every few seconds that annoy me and ruin it, luckily I'm not getting that on WCMLos, it tends to be on the 377/378/Javelin unit's in passenger mode, unbearable once you hit 90+ mph.
