My first post on the forum: getting into scenario planner using the ‘over Shap’ route and was quite excited to play my creation with an HST…..until it derailed immediately on starting in Preston! Would this be timetable clashes of my own making as have checked and seems ok to me, or issues with the software? Happy to be pointed in the direction of an existing thread, as sure I won’t have been the first one. Good to be part of the community.

If you started me in Preston I'd want to eject out of there ASAP too

Appreciate the sentiment……but can’t judge as never been. Those on my HST would appreciate anywhere other than upside in it I’m sure!

The most common cause would be the train being too long for it's starting location and overlapping either buffers or maybe a misaligned set of points.

I would suggest swapping the HST out for something small and see if the scenario starts, if so check that you are on the platform you were expecting, hopefully it's trying to use a small bay platform or something, which should lead to an easy fix.
