would the class 87 be included into the remaster or not as im very confused on how the class 87 has made its way into the timetable mode on gwe?

Thanks for the info. That would be sad, 'cause right now GWE is working fine on Gen8 with freight layers as well (normal Class 66 timetable services plus Cargo Line).

    Hi Liam,

Will sounds be updated for the remaster and is there plans for extensions/ an extension past reading?

Liam, I have two small questions left. Please advise:
    - I saw class 47 from Somerset on the GWR remaster screenshots, can I hope that it will receive support for the "suspension" function.
    - Why do none of the schedules (both old and new) include a replacement class 33. As far as I know, it appeared on the line quite often.
I would be grateful for an answer.

As far as I know there is no extension planned which is a shame because I always feel slightly unsatisfied on a HST run that only goes as far as Reading, apart from the odd one that stops at Slough but you never really feel like you're spreading your wings like you do on the ECML/WCML routes.

A lot of questions here, probably too early to answer them definitively as the remaster is still a work in progress.
I don't know why you are seeing the Class 87 on GWE but it's not been added to the current GWE nor planned to be in the remaster.
There's a lot more HST and 166 services in the remaster timetable so I don't know yet how that will affect gen 8. I just don't want to promise anything for gen 8 without knowing. Ideally freight would still be included.
No extensions beyond a couple of metres on the branch lines so players can use the bay platforms at stations. The Class 66 has been replaced with the ECML version while keeping the same liveries from GWE (DB & EWS), including the latest audio. There's some audio work for the other stock but to what extend I don't know yet. Paddington station sounds amazing though with the new audio volume and rumble of the HST's.
The 47 used there was from the JT WCML route so has the current tech it has in that. Nothing has been said about the Class 33 yet and if it will appear on GWE remaster.

There are no plans for extensions but if they were to do the branches (particularly Greenford, Windsor and Marlow) and released it as a “new” route like LIRR, I would definitely buy it.

It's probably just down to how the substitution works. It rather comedically also can sub in on the ECW railtour.

I don't think they'll have any services, just static stock at Southall.

In real life, those trains don't really go onto the GWML, they branch off after Southall

I'd posted this in wcml PtoC.re 87 on the timetable on GWE.
    Thanks for the explanation.

Had a look myself, for some reason it's trying to sub for the Class 52 in Diesel Legends
    upload_2024-11-28_21-56-55.png
    upload_2024-11-28_21-56-29.png

and also onto the East Coastway railtour
    upload_2024-11-28_21-54-56.png
    upload_2024-11-28_21-55-22.png

Of course, neither will actually work.

No he meant the class 87. It appears on the Diesel Lewgends of the 70's timetable. You can actualy drive it from Padding ton all the way to Old Oak Common (ands possibly to where the wires runt out at Heathrow Junction). I ran it as a return light engine to Old Oak Common after bringin in ancs for an early morning run to Bristol. Although when I switched sidings at Old Oak Common the wires ran out so did the juice from the wires lol. I did how ever managed to stop at the correct location..

    https://www.youtube.com/live/2IWA_youznY?si=54u5-JsJbMenVI6O&t=377

Yeah checked that out as well.

Yes I am even proud to say that an 87 made it to the south coast and Poole, in the 80's for Bournemouth Open day (87013). Beaten earlier this year with 88002 making it as far as Wool (Winfrith Atomic Energy center).

I believe there was also an electric test train containing a Class 90 and 86 and test coaches running along the GWML route testing the integrity of the wires / supply. Would have been back in 2017/19 era.

I think there should be some Class 33 services on the GWE as there have been several occurances of 33's runing either light engine from Swanage Railway up to Southall for Railtour duties or 33's heading back to Swanage for the same and as well as hauling tour stock to and from Swanage and Poole.

    Regards
    Hentis

I think I'm going to have to take the 87 for a spin before they fix it.

DTG Liam Just a quick question, I think the North London Line potentially crosses the Great Western Mainline (Please correct me if I am wrong). If this is the case, are there any plans to add AI class 378s when the North London Line DLC releases on that particular crossover? Thanks.

It does indeed. It makes sense for them to be there but in terms of priority they are lower on the list of what to add (Given performance and time).

Yeah that's understandable, there would be a lot of trains running over the NLL so I can see how it would affect performance. Thanks for the quick reply!

Hi DTG Liam , I noticed from the screenshot at Hayes and Harlington, on platform 5, there isn't a small part of a platform which is shown next to the 387. Could you remove it as the only thing next to the train on platform 5 at Hayes was the residents car park

I'm only being pedantic as this has no effect on gameplay, but naming the c2c livery 'Coast' is based on the false assumption that c2c stands for Capital To Coast. The c2c name, as stated by them, has no meaning.
I'm pretty sure that's just the lighting.

Yeah you're spot on with the name decision. I was thinking 'Eastern' as an alternate but I went with 'Coast' as to avoid possible confusion with other lines or operators that have East/Eastern in their name. Plus as you say, while c2c has no meaning, Coast just sounded more fitting to me where as Eastern I would save for an unbranded Greater Anglia train IF we ever need one.

The one shown here, above, looks lovely, but I think the last one in the article is the one which really makes me smile, as when I first found out about this new simulator which had the GWML this screenshot is the sort of liveliness I were expecting and it is fair to say GWE has always felt empty. Really looking forward to this coming. The screenshot is below:

Just to chirp in and say c2c did say at one point it can stand for anything from City 2 Coast, Commitment 2 Customers (typical David Brent corporate speech) or anything you want it to... So to list the livery as Coast is completely valid! And accurate given the geographic area they serve...

Screen shots look absolutely top notch. Super excited for this!

Have to say this is looking great. Can I just ask how much has the boundary / spawn points at Rerading been moved to. Can we actually start a freight service in the triangle section (below the flyover) at reading instead of int he station whch it currently does, as m this isnt prototypical as most fregiht going through Reading doesnt stop?

    Cheers

Why the mixed livery on the HST sets?
Will they be available in all one livery?

Personally I would have named the unlicensed liveries based on their colours, so Green, White/Green, White/Blue, with the Heathrow Express as a possible exception. That's just me though. Of course when it comes to the game, it doesn't matter in the slightest.
And for those who may be wondering about the meaning, as I've been asked for proof before:
    Screenshot 2024-03-29 190146.png
    Screenshot 2024-03-29 185956.png
It's good to see random substitution of the different liveried Mark 3s, assuming they're not pre-configured mixed sets. Out of interest DTG Liam is it substitution on every part of the train including the power car, or is it just the Mark 3s that can be substituted with both power cars in the same livery?

Also, is the substitution set up so that the FGW livery will spawn more than the GWR livery? Right up until the very end most GWR HSTs were still in the FGW livery, at least when they were on London services.

I completely missed that, those shots look gorgeous - especially the steam shed at Southall. I do hope they do another route from Reading to somewhere so that the HST can stretch its legs a bit more.
Thanks for the work you’ve all put in!

Since guard mode is coming to HSTs, will it also come to EMT HSTs on Derby to Nottingham route ?

The MML HST is a Skyhook train, so DTG aren't allowed to modify it without their permission. Skyhook themselves will need to add it, and it's unlikely that they will.

Is that shot of Scotsman in Southall depot just for show or is there a service with it out of the shed?

This remaster looks fantastic, it's almost an entirely new route, given the effort put into upgrading it.
