So I've seen this, and I'm still wondering if I will be BUYING a PC from them, as their prices for a fully built 4070 Ti Super Rig is pretty enticing for the amount of money I have right now.

In all honesty, I would not trust them, I have followed the debacle with the H1 case catching fire, and for some time they were almost to the point of doing nothing. And now they are making the statement that those who chose to get "rental" are confused, even the influencers that sang their praises are now either backpedaling or have removed the videos promoting their content. Be very careful, at this point, you may be better off with Amazon as stated in the video, do the extra research, and question with boldness.

Me personally I have lost 100% trust in NZXT, I wanted to get the H1 case, which looked great until it was shown and tested to catch fire. I put these here videos as a "hey look out, take care, watch out, do ya research" for the community, it is your choice, I will not say yay or nay, just take care and do LOTS of research. Honestly of all the YT Tech channels, I trust them the most, and then Jays2Cents.
I learned a lot from them and Linus Tech tips when he started with a company that is out of business now. This is my take on NZXT.

And if you're in the US check out Microcenter, I got my PC there open box.

Unfortunately, there's no microcenter close to me. So I guess I'll have to look on Amazon.

I hope you get it all worked out and you are able to get yourself a good PC. It really would be nice if Micro Center had more locations. I can honestly say that Amazon is very good with warranties/returns/refunds. I would never have thought, in this day and age, that I would look to an online e-tailer like them for a computer-related item or even a pre-built PC and feel good about it. That just knocks my socks off, to put it mildly, when it was started as an online store for books. WoW, who would have thought?
Have a happy new year, Merry Christmas.

I have previously used PC Specialist in the UK after recommendations on UKTS. The last system I bought 10 years ago still going strong, albeit had more RAM and a newer graphics card, but a bit of a potato now. Sadly they were bought out by Curry’s/PC World which resulted in a bit of a price hike.

Worst PC sellers in the UK, both now history, were Time and Tiny. Had one from the latter, full of bloatware and the components were glued in place to the motherboard preventing easy changing out.

Before I knew better, in past years I have had computers from Dell, Scan and Star Computers. Once you build one yourself you realise its pretty straightforward, the hardest part for me was making sure all the front IO connectors were right on the case, and the motherboard.

The whole concept of "rental PCs" just sounds like the now bankrupt eMachines of the late 90s and 2000s I remember hearing about. The "Never obsolete" service where your payments get you an upgrade to the latest hardware as tech marches on, obviously not a business model that was ever going to be long-term viable, but hey, the dotcom bubble was just gonna keep on inflating forever, right?

    [Edit]

Aaand I watched the video and...yeah, that explains them being sustainable if they're ripping folks off to that degree.

When it's safer and cheaper to go to a mafia loanshark, this is a very YIKES business model. The fact they don't do the credit checking step says everything about the kinds of people they are preying upon.

I have before.. I'm not too sure on it as I've heard bad and good things from them.
Definitely is alot of hard choices the closer I get to actually hitting the purchase button.

And I live in an area, where 99.99% was at one time Italian, Oh I have a few stories that could curl ya hair, so going to the Good ole Boys, you're not that far off, on that idea, but yes, they will and are a bunch of dirtbags, going back to the H1 case that Would start a fire, not a what if or maybe, it was a sure thing. And what this current investigation, is turning up, makes me sick, I have choice words but I will hold my tongue. :)

Gamers Nexus did a story on them and it does not look good, but I did a search for Prebuilt PCs and there really is a vacuum out there, where any good reviews from those I trust are 1 yr to almost 6 years old, and there are so many [YouTubers I don't know] pushing content, that I can say honestly anything about them or the products. I did find a Thermaltake on Amazon, core i7 with a 4070 all-white for about almost $1,700. Gamers Nexus did a prebuilt review on A Newegg brand called ABS, "in their words, better than DELL" it is just amazing what is out there and it all just Beggs questioning.

I was doing my random Deep dive on YouTube and almost got lost and found this bit of info from Gamers Nexus and I did a bit of searching. Here is their video and the info I found.

Thermaltake vista 470m for $1,700 from their website <-- I did not find this on their website as stated in video description, but for anyone interested, I suggest contacting Thermaltake directly.
