Wcmls Major Update (december 2024)

I drove the 390 last night the full route into Euston on XSX non stop.

 

I found the 350 always needed a bit more braking force applied compared to other UK EMUs in the game like the 377 and 323. So it should be interesting to try once the PS5 update comes!

 

No i had no trouble I'm on xbox series x

 

The only way to know for sure is if any real 350 drivers are lurking or maybe on the beta team. Modern trains generally do have better braking than their classic predecessors but are still not going to stop on a dime. Too often in train sims (not just TSW) the brakes often seem a bit too harsh or rapid, even in lower steps.

 

Haven't officially driven one. But I've seen the brakes from the cab and they seem pretty accurate at the moment.

 

I've been critical of the communication levels from DTG in the past, so it's only fair and right I compliment it now, thank you and the rest of the team for the constant updates and information.

 

I've gone in and out for Euston a few times with different trains no problems

 

The brakes where fine until the update now the seem really under powered same with acceleration

 

Same with me i drove the 710 and 390 out of Euston and had no issues

 

Haven’t been near my machine for a week or so. Can you now dispatch the train properly in guard mode from the cabs as per reality? I.e close doors and buzz the driver?

 

DTG Matt it happens a lot on the series s. It's just Euston, other parts are fine including Watford junction and Milton keynes

 

Game just crashed pulled into Euston in a 710 5car xbox series x I'm gonna try a 4 car unit now see if it happens again

All my WCMLS scenarios are now causing a crash to desktop? Won’t even start. Have reported on problems forum.

I ran an Overground service last night from Watford Junction to Euston on Xbox SX. Most noticeably the route seems much busier now but there’s still the issue of low res, blurry textures in cab and on platforms between Queens Park and Euston.

Also DTG Liam mentioned the Overground signs had been updated with the Johnston font but they are the same as before. Any news on this?

I am on pc but the only mod I have is 350 licensing mod, I will remove that and try again. Currently verifying files.

That mod crashes it I think but there is another updated one now.

 

I remember reading it would be looked into Dal.Think Matt P mentioned it last night.

 

Looks like it wasn't just the night lighting that's been improved.Daytime definitely has less bloom, the contrast looks natural now.

Can you confirm what changes were to ps4 i cant find any 12 cars but have fond conductor on class 390

 

Hi matt I just run a 710 5car and the game crashed at euston the done same trip in 710 4car and did not crash I'm gonna run the others into Euston to see how they get on I'm on xbox series x it's can let you know what happens if you like.

 

Have had 5 crashes on WCML south this morning driving a class 350 and a class 390, was fine until the update last night! seems like you've made it worse with the recent update - Playing On Xbox Series s
*Also Have layers turned off

Hello i got xbox series x has the update effected xbox iswell ? Because my says all services are 794 how many services are we suppose to have now ?

 

Typeface on the Overground station platforms still seems to be set to default, there's also some Avanti services that show their destination as Milton Keynes? Playing on XSX.

 

Just got the update for PS5. It’s showing the Class 710/3 now.

 

I ve played 2 710 jobs 3 350 jobs and 3 390 jobs all going into Euston as soon as train stops it crashes back to xbox home screen using xbox series x wish I never done the update this one my favourite routes and now seems unplayable if I could I would remove the update. These problems I really making me not want to purchase the game play pack tomorrow.

 

The ventilation sounds in the cab of the 350 still cut out the first time you traverse any points, making the unit dead silent next time you stop. The AWS magnets are still a complete mess on this route with magnets giving alarms on green signals and straight up missing magnets. I haven't checked the double magnets that were present in some places. Many of the new class 710 stop markers are placed too low. You can't see them through the window you're supposed to line up with these stop markers. Also this:

These floating S letters seem to have appeared wherever one of the new 710 stop markers have been placed.

The new timetable is nice, but I think the route still has significant flaws that need to be addressed to get it up to scratch.

 

Hey Matt do you also have a feedback from someone for the BR642?
It was oft said that the acceleration doesn't match the reality.
The br in game is way to slow after 80-90 kmh

I believe some of the AWS alarms on green are for significant speed reductions ahead (something that came after the Morpeth rail crash I believe), but I'm not sure if these are all accurate to the actual rulebook.

I do remember there was a phantom alarm occasionally when I played the mainline out of Euston but will have to check when I'm home once I've got the PS5 update.

 

I'm not talking about the morpeth board related AWS magnets. The incorrect magnets are those associated with signals. For example, the first AWS magnet coming out of Watford junction heading toward Euston on the overground tracks gives an alarm while the signal is green. No morpeth board (or speed reduction for that matter) in sight.

 

Having received the update on my PS5, there are still noticeable issues pointed out.

1. Euston Station still feels notoriously empty with a lack of AI Class 390 services.

2. There are missing services on the Class 350, I've managed to take notes of all the missing passenger services that should appear using the current timetable:

1Y27, 1Y29, 1Y33, 1Y49, 1Y59, 1Y61, 1Y77, 1Y81, 1W12, 1Y16, 1Y22, 1Y26, 1Y40, 1Y42, 1Y48, 1Y50, 1Y64, 1Y66, 2K45, 2K53, 2K63, 2K65, 2K46, 2K54, 2N32, 2B02, 2B06, 2B53, 2T09, 2T57, 2T59, 2T69, 2T08, 2T10, 2T58 and 2T70

3. The stations exclusively to the London Overground Watford DC Line is still displaying the old font rather than the TfL Jonathan Font.

I'm happy to be corrected here if there will be a further patch on updating the timetable on the ones mentioned above as well as the TfL Jonathan Font implementation.

 

I don’t have the 710/3 available for the livery editor nor I can select personal liveries anymore on the Goblin’s 710. I’m on PS5, anyone else in the same situation ?
