After all these years when are they coming to Dovetail Routes? How far are you on the development? Is it a priority? Give us an update.
Would love them but pretty sure they would be very far down the line as their is more priority on other things atm Such as WCML and other routes. Honestly I would say don't hold you're breath with this one mate. Could be never. But Never say never xd
Could be a future development in a future TSW much like the suspension? At the moment Rivet (as much as I dislike their products), are the only ones to implement and pioneer this in the game. I don't know the ins and outs of why it is not in the game. But it's definitely not impossible as Rivet have proven. I'm indifferent to it personally though as it doesn't bother me if it is, or isn't there. The interior PIS boards are enough for me at the moment.
Never say never. But it can be done in the game. Rivet can do it. Subwaysim can do it. Tramsim viewapp can do it. Bussim 18 can do it. Why can't DTG do it?
They did ask about it in the winter survey. Whether or not something comes of that is a different matter.
I very much like Rivet's implementation of automatic announcements on FCL. Much more so than the manual ones on E2G. Would love this to be rolled out on more trains, especially the 801 - alongside conductor mode!!
It definitely enhances the immersion for me. Rivets auto announcements on Fife Circle are pretty good, albeit would like a few enhancements. Don’t understand why the method they used couldn’t be implemented on future routes though. I know DTG said they wanted to have a certain method but seems to have been that way for a pretty long time with not much visible progress.
From day one it's never been a high priority for DTG, And I think only Rivet have implemented it so far (Though correct me if I'm wrong). I'd love to see onboard announcements become standard in the future as well as Station announcements
Just Trains have it on the Class 142 and class 87 services in Blackpool Branches and WCMLoS. JT Thomas gets my vote for all future TSW announcements if Brian Blessed is unavailable.
I wonder what Rivet did to get the automatic announcements working in FCL? Can't be that complicated that DTG can't at least use it as a base for a core thing.
If even Rivet can do it then DTG have absolutely no excuse. It really should be standard for most of the routes where you'd expect to hear them.
Definitely would be nice to see this on more routes. Bernina line has the best announcements. Got to give Rivet props for that !!.
