Carlisle Platform 7 ..... On foot mode ...time cca 20:45 - 21:15 ... The problem is with this train set ..... 5 cars ... which randomly change on restart, 5 x Mk1 Parcels/Guard or 4x Kk1 Parcels/Guard + 1xMk2 etc. and maybe the Mk2 cars are longer or I don't know, but when there is a Mk2 in the train set, there is a collision with the diesel locoClass 47 ..... from the other side there is a Class 87 on the train set ca 20:50 - 21:15
Will have to have a look at that. Am used to DTG's 101 that only the top switch activates the AWS. If that's the case thanks for the info and it shows just how bad the training modules are for the units in the game that we haven't/don't get all of the training info we should be getting
What you playing on? I did it on PS5 and AWS worked fine, but there were no passengers on my train throughout.
The DTG version hasn't changed but the one used on the Preston - Carlisle route has been updated and is listed as 101 (Shap). That's the one used in that scenario.
As I'm visually impaired, I have trouble seeing the boards for neutral sections. Yesterday at the Just Trains stream on YouTube, I was advice to send at ticket, as it also is a core matter. I would like to have the neutral sections displayed on the upper right HUD section, where you can see lights, platforms, speed limits and stuff. It would help to be aware of the coming signposts and be ready to notch down. I got the impression that Matt Peddlesden is aware of people having problems, as he is very keen to help disabled people to run TSW properly. I'll just add to other tickets that may have been sent. Christmas greeting to Chris, Matt and all you people making my day and being able to drive locos, which wouldn't be possible in real life. The Xbox controller for my PC helps a lot, instead of seaching in the cab.
Definitely needs to be in the hud as I can see other routes having the neutral sections implemented in the future.
Yeah I know. Checked the Shap 101 and both switches are there, went and checked the DTG 101 on TVL and again both switches are there but the bottom one is set to unisolated and isn't selectable so it's permanently on. So thanks for that info. Shows just how many corners DTG have cut for some of this game. I mean they're only just giving us safety system tutorials when they should have been there fronm the CSX Heavyhaul game
PC PLAYER - STEAM 1Z31 - Hardendale to Cardiff Part 1 - 14:42 tested with class 31 and class 40 randomly spawns you on foot at stations, not with any train, service is not playable.
The class 47/4 loco data panels are showing an incorrect ETH rating. They are all showing "ETH index 0" but it should be reading "ETH index 66" All in-game class 47/4 data panels, show "ETH Index 0" Real class 47/4 data panel shows "ETH Index 66" Unless some class 47/4s were still using their old heating equipment in the mid-1980s? Either way, I bet operator#7940 will be triggered right now.
I'm looking to get back into TSW and noticed this route which ticked all my boxes, English route, 80's, BR blue etc so was just about to order it but thought I would read up on it first. Could I ask if this DLC works fine with the RailDriver? Someone said there was a problem earlier but don't know if that has been addressed?
Xbox S User. Photo mode doesn't appear to work at 1st request, I have to back out of it, 2nd attempts do work. I can't spawn a train in timetable mode on foot, menu flashes up then disappears. I've tried free roam also without success. Fantastic DLC.
Stupid question, isn't the Buzzer Call function mapped to the controller on the PS5? It's very inconvenient to search for it with a compass, especially at night... so I don't use it before leaving...... And I'll ask again, does the Demister, Dimmer, etc... controller have any function or is it just a cosmetic thing for the sake of completeness And the last current experience, Journey train connection 1S80, it was during the weather, about every 1-2 minutes it kept alternating between rain and sunshine..... I almost destroyed the wiper controller
When I read what's going on around on other maps... and I myself am frustrated with German maps ... it's fair to thank Just Train, because it's clear that it's not the console players' fault, because on PS5 Pro it runs practically fine and problems like blurring etc. don't happen 99.9% of the time. ..... for me, even though I'm not a fan of English railways, it's about 60 hours of full fun so far and I consider this map to be the best Note, I have all DLC layers active
PS5 In class 87, the train heating is turned on by default, even though it is a steel train, but it cannot be turned off...
Just having a nice run down the WCML. Noticed the cars crossing the bridge at the south end of Lancaster station, their wheels are half buried in the road. (PC)
It's my understanding that you get all of the locos/stock included in the DLC same as everyone else - however - the services are 87 hauled only, so the updated 101 and 47 are there but only in freeroam. That was mentioned during at least one of the JT streams
Finally got round to doing my first scenario on this amazing route. "Tap Changer" - what a superb experience driving all the way up the line in the dark and snow. The climb out of Oxenholme is a bit of a tricky one but might finally be getting the hang of the tap controls at last Hats off to the team for this route. The bar has certainly now been raised for any more that are in the pipeline.
Despite all the bits that need fixing, I still love this route. Finally getting the hang of neutral sections. It would be great for DTG to implement them in the hud at some point. Next job, getting better at braking the 87!
PS5 Same problem with 1S24.... but I tried starting the entire service on 0S24 at 4:08... so I'm going to try that, that might help EDIT: Yes, the solution is to start the 0S24 service at 4:08 and then freely start the next service 1S24 after it finishes.
Service 9:15 I believe Carlisle to London Euston Gaurd mode says gaurd left the service every time even though I am on the train. Even when I'm sitting in the train with the door shut.
I'm driving a parcels service from Carnforth to Preston. It's just started snowing. Put the wipers on and they animate while you are in the cab but not when you are in external view. This happens sometimes on the 87 and other times it does not. Edit: Tried the secondman's wiper and it is same. Animates in cab view but not external.
XBOX Series S TIMETABLE: 7P36 Arpley to Workington (07:39) LOCO: Class 40 (Domino Headcode) LOCATION: Carnforth Approach BUG: OHLE droppers floating in the air, detached from wires.
If that’s the scenario where you have to go Carnforth- Lancaster - Morecambe- Lancaster - Carnforth, same here. Empty train apart from a handful of passengers boarding at Bare Lane on the return leg. And yes that cab changeover switch caught me out - it’s something on PC at least we could do with a keyboard shortcut as I found it quite fiddly with the mouse. Also, it appears to finish setting up the cab you need to put the deadman’s down and up again on the throttle which has to be done with the mouse. Probably my biggest gripe with the 101 is it still doesn’t really sound like a Met Cam unit. I know by then most had the AEC engines with that lovely whine replaced by the Leyland variant, in which case it should sound more like a 108 or 117 but it doesn’t. More like a truck, IMHO.
Yeah it's that scenario, I didn't even get passengers boarding at Bare Lane, they just stood there looking in disgust that it wasn't a brand new Pacer lol
Not just me then. TBH while it was a change of pace from driving the 87, a bit of a snooze fest as there’s little opportunity to get much over about 40 MPH before slowing down for the next station or signal check.
Probably been the only "disappointment" - and even then it's a relatively minor one in the scheme of things - for me is that there is so little opportunity to stretch the pacer and/or 101 in timetable mode. Only a small handful of services more than 15 minutes long. Plus the Pacer announcements constantly saying Salwick, although Tom did say on the Live feed earlier this week that will be getting fixed.
I mentioned on another thread that I think Scenarios these days are mainly to show what the rolling stock can do and I think that's what this was as well.....but it was definitely a chore for me and I'm in no rush to do it again.
On Blackpool Branches there is a Lockerbie-Blackpool DMU service....I wish that was part of the WCML North Timetable from Carlisle to Preston.
Just Trains did not make the scenarios for WCMLoS Tom said on stream that it was either Simtrack or Skyhook, if I remember correctly.
It's possible that's a weekend only service, Blackpool is based on the weekend because there were a lot of day tripper and holiday trains which added to the variety. Carlilse is based on a weekday timetable, so won't have the weekend trips to Blackpool, but will have more mainline running than would have been present on the weekend. It's a shame that that means we can't route hop at Preston and continue a service from one route on the other, but they made the right call in terms of variety of services. I would happily pay for a weekend timetable add-on, which would have more of the holiday specials heading towards Blackpool, maybe even some holiday specials running into Morecambe, assuming those were a thing.
Theoretically, there could be a couple of holiday trains, as you say, similar to the couple on WCMLoS in the form of the summer season, or red, red, etc... some for summer, some for winter, for example, in the form of an optional DLC layer Given the size and scope of the track in the Blackpool map, at least the track to Omskirk could have been part of the WCMLoS....those two stops could have been better in terms of system and execution, and maybe Blackpool North But maybe it would be too much for TSW and it would start to collapse like the WCML and Kinzigtalbahn maps from DTG
As I won't be able to jump on the route for a few days, a question I hope someone can answer. How do the neutral sections in this route affect other electric/locos units? For example if I was to take a Pendolino off for a spin along the WCML, will the neutral zones affect them or are they only set up to work with the 87?
Hi, just out of curiosity I tried the Pendolino Preston - Carlisle ...... neutral zones, it goes in order, no effects .... during the journey I also tested the blurring of textures ... in the area somewhere halfway, around Shap, the Avanti West Coast inscription blurred on the outside view when using zoom. No problem with the cabin, no blurring ...... but when arriving in Carlisle everything is ok again, no problems with blurring, not even when zooming .... Only the passengers were looking, Pendolino...why, year 1986
PS5 console Has anyone noticed that the wheels of the Mk3A FO in the Intercity design do not rotate while driving?
That is wrong. The AWS does not have a Change Ends levers. It has a Isolation switch, the small one, which is always on and a On/Off lever. When you reach your destination you Switch the AWS off - even if you are not changing ends.
Not regarding to that question, i have always wondered what the irl procedure is for the 'change ends' lever. Do they have to turn it off when they leave the cab or switch ends?
Like any Safety Feature you switch it Off when leaving the cab - unless another driver takes over and it is left on.
