Disabled this setting on PS5, but observed it happening a few times anyway. Just seen it on SEHS, and think I saw it on WCMLS and ECML the other day. I think the arcing is random so this may not be any use, but it was just now on 1C18 within 1 minute of departing Ebbsfleet. Observed from the rear exterior camera (the one that moves around the train in a circle)

My main issue with sparks is that the front windshield is lighting up, or at least the snow on it

Yeah, this is why I disabled sparks. It was particularly bad in tunnels or at night. Not sure if this instance lit up the windscreen for three reasons:
    1. External cam - not driver cab
    2. Outside - not in tunnel or covered dark station
    3. Daylight - not night time

Yes even on the 350 where the pantograph isn’t on the front car. IMHO the effect is way overdone, not to mention for those with a photosensitive condition it could be a problem. Don’t really want to turn it off but it needs toning right down across all routes.

I think the main problem is the lighting in tsw. You just can't simulate the arcing properly. Irl you can see the arc light up the night sky from miles away. In tunnels you will some times see the flash on the windscreen, not all of the time though.
I think if they removed the flash from the screen it wouldn't be that bad.
A friend of mine has epilepsy and plays tsw. He says going thru stations at night or past those series of trackside lamps on wcmls posses the biggest risk, the arcing isn't frequent enough.
