Hello All, Does anyone know where I can find info on what Rivet Games are working on? Their site forum seems pretty well defunct now, and they had suggested the DTG forums as being a way to check up on them....
https://x.com/rivetgames?lang=en Last thing they posted about was Fife and The Bus (not sure what that is, must be some new fangled invention, it'll never catch on)
According to a couple of people on the forums, SBB may no longer be so willing to cooperate... which only leaves RHB. Quite sad.
Or the other private companies - MOB, FO, BOB and the Jungfrau and for the main line, maybe BLS. Though after my brief trial of Bernina, really not sure I want Rivet going near another Swiss route either.
I don't know what you're talking about. From a visual perspective, Bernina is one of the best-looking DLCs in all TSW (not only in comparison to Rivet DLCs). I do wish they'll just continue with RhB. They seem to be able to deliver it properly (other than their UK DLCs). And they learned a lot since Arosa.
I agree, Rivet have done some poor routes but Bernina is excellent. Plus, no-one else is doing Swiss routes anyway so far as I know
I’m quite happy for Rivet to do another RhB line or ideally finish the rest of Bernina. As someone who travels on the line a few times a year, it’s very recognisable, not perfect but extremely enjoyable. It’s pretty much my go to route for relaxing and sightseeing from a train cab. I don’t even find Arosa that bad so long as you run in the snow to hide the bland mountains. Someone has done a new timetable to use the Allegra on it which is a lot nicer to drive.
Is it my imagination, or does Bernina look better in TSW5 than TSW4? Somehow the buildings look more authentic, for example..
The route itself, well part route, looks fine. But I was not impressed with the Allegra physics. Power and speed jumping around all over the place even under the speed control throttle.
I'd like to see the BLM as well although that might need to be packaged with BOB to make it a worthwhile package
