If the AWS is switched on on a DMU when the driver changes ends it would sound when going over a magnet and apply the brakes as there is nobody in the cab to cancel it.

I never said the AWS had a change ends lever. I said that both the AWS and change end levers are under the seat.

I tried using the class 40 (both variants) and the versions of the class 47 from this route. I have a feeling it is all of the locos for that service if you're just trying to spawn into it.

I tried the Class 47, not the 40 but, at one point I was able to set a destination as if I was in Freeroam. With that one service, you can use several different locos. And they all will do the same thing.

Bug confirmed on XBOX Series S.

I tried with both class 40s, plus the class 47.

Just spawned me standing here in Carlisle station every time for some reason.

I tried with a class 31 and I spawned at a random level crossing this needs to get fixed asap.

Is it me or performance on this route getting worse? I thought it was the 87 and scripting dragging things down a bit, but doing the Class 101 round trip scenario from Carnforth I was getting freezes of 2 to 3 seconds quite regularly. Some of that doubtless the knackered core, but had just come from a run on Maintalbahn where hardly any stuttering evident.

Have you sent a support ticket to DTG ?

    https://dovetailgames.freshdesk.com/en/support/home

There seems to be a huge backlog of tickets right now though (96 tickets between the one I just sent and the previous one I sent yesterday). So don't expect to get a reply this side of Christmas....

Don't think we'll get a WCMLoS patch before January 2025.

Haven't noticed anything myself. Had a few runs the last couple of days in the 87, 101 and Pacer but all good. Xbox Series X

The only other - very minor - niggle for me is the route randomly selecting the older Mark 2 coaches on journeys. Much prefer it when it's the 3, not least for the extra speed but they just look so much better and of "my time"

I would say that after Monday's update, the textures on Mk2 and Mk3 started to blur slightly... I noticed this yesterday during the day

So the "AWS and change end levers are under the seat" even though it does not have them?

That is true - Mk3s can run at 110mph compared with just 100mph of a Mk2 or Mk1
Of course a lot of trains in BR Blue era ran with Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3 coaches in the same formation.

Apologies if already mentioned but I'm a little disappointed with the bridges where there's no shadowing and the cab doesn't go slightly darker, I guess this is something that may not be rectified as it would be quite a task I'd imagine.

Yes that it does, but at the same time this should NOT, have been an issue from the very beginning, and this issue is still a problem with another service 6Y08 SEHS Steam - Still Spawning At A Random Location On Foot In Sehs Services | Dovetail Games Forums so this not a new issue. It was never fixed in TSW3 nor in TSW4 and is now in TSW5.
    TSW3 SEHS 6Y08_v2.png

I Set my game to READ only so it would not update, I did this to run a few different scenarios before they MAY get an update, and if they did get an update, I could then revisit them. I have run into several different issues with the newer DLCs and this is one of them. So far I have not seen many stutters, but a few hitches yes.

I'm trying to spawn a 47 with the snow ploughs fitted but can't.
I tried the IC and Scot Rail IC liveries but no snow ploughs on any of them.

It's not random, London Euston services are the main ones with Mk3's.

Snow ploughs are related to the number of the locomotive so it's a bit pot luck as to whether you get one.

It's probably just me, but when I drove the 87 last week, I'm pretty damned sure that the AWS key (Q) and DSD key (Enter) where separate, when I went to drive the 87 earlier today, the 'Q' key is set for both AWS and DSD.

Has this actually changed in the last week or am I going mad!?!

For me, it was always Q on the keyboard for both and the P button on the Raildriver for both.

Problem with the Freightliner container flats. The ones that don't have buffers on them, the wheels don't turn and don't have any suspension movement. I'm not sure if these wagons have got suspension in the game?

It is not just you. I usually have DSD bound to Q and AWS bound to page up and this works fine in one cab (I forget whether it is the no. 1 or no. 2 cab. It is the cab directly beneath the pantograph in any case). In the other cab on the other hand, AWS and DSD are both bound to the same key (page up in my case).

The updated version of the class 101 (Shap) does have both levers though under the secondmans seat. Idk if the real units had this as I've not been in the cab of a real one, I've only been in the cab of a class 121 bubble car and even then I didn't pay attention to the AWS system.

Ugh. Oh no. This blurring texture issue on TSW complex routes is completely game breaking for me, I’ve shelved all the routes where it is evident and won’t buy ones where the early feedback identifies it.

Tried making this livery on creators club and it immediately got withdrawn. :(

I'm not sure, but I think sometimes things get withdrawn due to the title. For example I uploaded a formation with 'TGV' in the title and it got withdrawn, but when I uploaded the same formation as 'Duplex 200' it was fine

ScotRail are very strict with their licensing and anything on Creators Club with their name on will get pulled. I had a Class 20 in ScotRail livery pulled for that reason.

I deleted everything and reinstalled it, I only have Preston Carlisle and the additional DLC for layers in TSW5. I installed it gradually and between each step I launched the map ... it's better ..... Now it only blurs when using zoom... ... which is not necessary, when I zoom in on the wagons with a regular outside camera, sometimes the white stripe gets slightly blurred, but most of the time it goes back to a sharper texture after a few seconds.
If FTF worked like this, then everyone would be happy

And what are the neutral sections? I'm thinking about buying a route, but I see that there are still some small problems.

Sections on the line where there's no power in the wires, only a couple of yards usually, They are there in reality and this DLC is the first to actually have them active. You'll see them on East Coast Mainline as well but they aren't active, just for show.

Are there any rules for passing through them? Or do we just ignore it and move on?

You'll pass a black marker board about a mile from the neutral section, all you'll have to do is power down so that when you pass through it the train isn't taking any power.

In an ideal world, you would spot the warning board, set throttle to off, wait until you pass through the neutral section, then power back up again.

Failing to do so in the real world would cause damage to the locomotive, but in the game if you miss the warning all that really happens is the power goes off on it's own, you then need to set the throttle to off, wait for the tap counter to reach zero, press the power reset button, then power back up again.

There isn't any need to come to a stop or anything like that, if anything the travel time is quicker reacting to the power switching itself off rather than doing it in advance, luckily being a game you won't end up with a repair bill at the end of the run.

So I just need to set the throttle control to position 0 and nothing else? I don't need to press any buttons or do any other manipulations?
To be honest I'm not knowledgeable about railway engineering in real life, but the information is interesting (would be interesting to know). I can guess that perhaps a break and subsequent connection would cause a power surge, or traction/braking/signalling problems or something like that.
Thank you all for the reply!

Make sure both of the amp meters are at ZERO before crossing over the neutral section, as well as making sure the lever is turned to the off position.

Also, DO NOT use the brakes while passing over a neutral section, as they draw power when used, and will trip the circuit breaker.

Best to make sure both the throttle and brakes are set to off 10-15 seconds before hitting a neutral section, to give the amp meters time to drop to zero.

Sometimes it happens that my power supply won't turn back on even if I have everything at 0 and then turn the power OFF... most often when it's raining ..... but I've already experienced that I drove into the neutral section under power, and it just went out and then started back up again....you can't choose that

There is a bug, I think it's cab 2 that power doesn't return after a neutral section, you have to press the Pan up/reset button

The way you said that makes it sound like a handover maintenance note:)

    It’s almost like it’s a feature not a bug!

“probably some corrosion on the circuit, blame the recent wet weather”

I think it's supposed to be a random "event" in that the magnets don't re-close the circuit upon exiting the neutral section, I've had it happen once or twice, happened once in the No1 end and not sure for the second. I've racked up 2000+ miles already so it's not a regular event.

I spawned the 87 in ECML and drove it to Doncaster, via the down relief to just before Grantham. I wasn't expecting any neutral sections but the loco did make that power cut sound every few miles, and sure enough when I started looking out for the boards I spotted a few ;) So, I think they are active :)

Just ran 87029 from the number 2 cab, all the way from Preston to Carlisle on 4S89.

Power returned fine after every neutral section, so I think it's all working as intended.

Just noticed a missing section of OLE at the south end of Platform 2 at Preston. It's literally just the one span between masts that is missing. Was in photo mode when I clocked it.

Wow, the new suspension model on the class 101 is a lot of fun. :D

I see passengers wearing their overpriced cup of British Rail tea, and grandma's colostomy bag violently exploding from the G-forces when the train hits 60mph.

It's just like riding the real thing.

Speaking of class 87, doesn't it happen that the cabins are completely swapped? When I look at the 2D map, and the loco seems to be "reversing", I'm sitting in the cabin marked No.1 and loco is forward in 2D and I am in cab No.2

Starting 0Z00 Lancaster to Ladywell (08:34) with a Class 40 or 45 derails instantly. Taking a Class 47 out works fine.
