Just a little bit more realism. This would be great to see (or hear lol) in TSW. When I mean realistic I’m meaning something like: The Train at Platform 3 is due to depart at (12:15) this service goes to (goes through all the stations it stops at) Is this possible or is it too complicated to do because seriously this would be a fantastic little detail that would make the Train Stations feel a little more realistic. It’s the one thing I feel is missing from the game and especially the main stations they do feel alot quieter compared to there real life versions. I know some stations have announcements but they are just safety announcements and you don’t hear them that often. Here’s a video that does it perfectly at Kings Cross. At 30 seconds in.
"The next train to depart from Platform ? is the 00:00 service to blank, calling at blank, and blank". Good way to increase immersion, as long as it goes off every couple of minutes.
Would definitely increase immersion. It would be a nice touch. It would also help make it sound like your in a busy train station too I reckon as currently they are quite quiet. I suppose it’s not too bad if the station has lots of trains at once as you can hear all the engines running. Some German routes have done that quite well.
I'd also love the ones that play on a lot of the overground routes irl: "The train now standing at platform X is the 00:00 service to (Blank) calling at ......"
I believe dtg said a while back on a previous thread that they are working on it and it is something that is in early development.

I'm hoping they do add realistic station announcements. as i think that's 1 important thing that's missing in the game, but if it arrives one day would they even add it to the older routes or just leave out and just add it to the newer train routes instead.
nah needs to defo be a tsw5 feature because its too early to talk about tsw6 now as its quite pointless in having a newer game every few months as that what it feels like lol.
This can be borrowed from Chinese railway stations Broadcast system, in the railway sector, China is far ahead
It's even mentioned on this year's winter survey so if it gets enough votes hypothetically it might be implemented.
Yes, please! It's something that is missing in TSW to make it fully immersive. Maybe they can make use of AI to achieve this. Here are some announcements in Germany
That’s really great to hear. Glad other people are wanting to see this sort of thing being implemented into TSW. Don’t get me wrong the safety announcements you hear on some of the stations telling you to mind the gap and stay away from the edge of the platform is amazing too. But it’s not quite enough. Train stations especially the main ones should have the announcer talking constantly. Rivet have also done this sort of thing on the 385 and 170 as well as Bernina which is neat. Even though the voice is not the same as the one they use in reality it’s still better than nothing.
That’s a really good video. Love it. I went to Berlin in 2009 and got to ride both the S Bahn and U Bahn.
This would be really fun to hear on the gwe remaster(of course later than initial release if its added)but every few minutes you could hear a announcement
My favourite are the underground announcements. They are so iconic and interesting. I do like the LNER announcements aswell but not to keen on the route in the game
Yeah the LNER route was too boring with not enough trains, it would be good if dtg still had a lnwr license for the wcml as that would be good for their announcements
I totally agree. However, the new London Overground route would have been the perfect time for station announcements as Anne makes the iconic announcements for that route. Additionally, onboard announcements by Julie Berry would be cool and extremely iconic as announcements are very much a memorable and renowned feature of all train lines in particular the London Overground and London Underground as they all have unique, famous voices on each line
I congratulate you on this as I think that this topic needs to be brought to the attention of the content creators
