I have a subscription, logged in last night and it says i no longer have a subscription linked to my account, download history disappeared and when i log in to the launcher all my products are no longer visible. I have raised a support ticket - awaiting contact back but wondered if anyone else is experiencing the same problems and it's a wider issue?
No all is working fine for me thx. Yes I did download the latest version of the downloader. The auto has been disabled.
Have you downloaded the latest version of the launcher? You need to do it through the website, as the auto-updater function has been disabled.
When they announced that the launcher would be discontinued they released a new version of it that was not available through the auto-updater. They are still in the process of discontinuing the launcher, but it was never going to be an immediate change.
Given that their broken mess of a so-called "launcher" doesn't even properly install the stuff people have paid for, and there is no way to "reset" it or manually install, they should be damn happy they don't have various authorities banging on their doors.
To be fair, in my experience using it, it has worked fine. I'd still rather use a separate installer though.
I've never had an issue with the Installer. Though it does annoy me that some of their scenario packs are listed as "Up to date" when some are still programmed using the original AP weather pack which means having to manually update the weather on payware packs or getting the disco clouds thing.
I hated the installer, but it worked fine for me last week when I had to reinstall a few things. Can’t wait for the new separate installers though. Though I assume they will still require a log in and a download within the installer. I doubt they will give us standalone installers, AP style. Getting quite disillusioned with ATS at the moment. Big fan own their TSC work, but bought a subscription based on things being available soon that are still are nowhere to be seen. Hopefully subscribers will be able to get discounted steam keys from them when their TSW route comes out or I’ll not get any value - lesson learned. Anyway veering off topic. New installers can’t come soon enough.
The Launcher currently no longer works or isn't working as intended. I left them with a stable build that was working up until after I left. Since then there are now countless issues with it and I have offered my support to help them fix the issue but I have been told they don't need any help. Right now it's failing to install routes even for me properly so no idea. However hopefully once the holidays are over they'll be straight on it
I bought a subscription xmas day downloaded the installer and bought the ohle as i want to get thè wcml missing link but there is no install button for the ohle. Im sure they will get onto it once the holidays are over.
The Launcher was something I worked very hard on and did work. I do believe customers should have both options however as I am no longer involved with ATS, they don't have anyone with the knowledge to run/maintain it. They are switching to new seperate installers but honestly the last time they were on seperate installers, the experience was pretty poor. APs installers are by far the best, quick easy and simple, JT ones are fine but honestly AP wins for seperate installers. Launcher provides away to update all products in bulk or install in bulk at ease but I do understand the appeal of a seperate installer too if the installer is simple. Unfortunately they'll still connect it to wordpress API which can suck at times for various reasons resulting in log ins not working after password changes etc
AP's installers used to leave behind a lot of LOVE in temporary folders post-install but that might have finally changed with the updates to all installers some time ago?
It looks like an individual launcher per DLC. I redownloaded WCML Missing Link this morning. It prompted what was needed to the pack to work. I do not think it was checking the disc content just an info screen.
