So good day guys. Let's get to the point. Thanks to the winter sale I decided to get the West Sommerset railway track and I was well let's say it so surprised. And I saw the list of what you need. But I have no idea what what is because well England is not so my territory. Could someone tell me what else you need? (Thanks in advance)
I believe Northern TransPennine opens up a more services (using the Class 101) and gives more variety in the locomotive department
I highly recommend the Class 33 Loco Add-On, great loco. If you want the Steam Timetable you need the Peak Forest Railway Add-On. The Flying Scotsman is also drivable on that Route, some of the Diesels from Tees Valley and Northern Transpenine too. I would not recommend the Class 52 Add-On, adds not that much to the Route.
As noted, Peak Forest for the 4F recommended. And despite the shortcomings with its end points, PFR quite an enjoyable route in its own right. Probably still our most scenic UK route in the sim and one of the few routes I went through and completed the whole Journey mode.
I believe the 101 used here comes with Northern TransPennine. It also comes with Tees Valley Line and WCML Preston-Carlisle.
I don't own Peak Forest but can still use the Flying Scotsman and Crimson Jubilee on the steam timetable. I can also use the 150 from WCL on a small section of WSR. For the diesel timetable, I'm not sure which DLC opens up the layers and which DLC just adds substitution, but I'm able to use the 08, 101, 20, 31, 33, 37, 40, 45 and several liveries of the 47.
"need", no. "could use", pretty much, at least the historic stuff. One of the few routes you can't use a 66 :P
Well good, not everything directly but then everything fits and yes and uks and the class 66 a never ending story hehe
Additionally, I think the Class 150 from West Cornwall also layers in as a shuttle service, and the HST from Great Western Express can be seen passing by underneath when you walk beyond Norton Fitzwarren and walk onto the footbridge there. You can purchase the Class 20, Class 31 and Class 52 for this route as well. And once you have steam locomotives you get to choose from two time tables, one filled with diesel stock and the other with steam. I think the steam traction suits this museum railway very well. So it may look a bit empty for you now, but with more DLC it gets significantly more filled up, especially around the Minehead endpoint. On PlayStation the Classes 31, 33, and 52 are currently on sale, as is the Peak Forest route.
Ok lol this is a lot. But many thx for this list and yea I see the sales on PlayStation thx mate for you help
You don't NEED anything. But if you want layers: https://train-sim-world.fandom.com/wiki/Layers_and_substitutions
A few things depend on other things, but to be fair there's quite a bit that layers into WSR, even if it's only a few miles long it's a very detailed and fleshed out route.
Think the steam engines and the Cornwall Class 150 are the only locos in terms of dlc I'm missing to make my "WSR Layers" complete. I assume the add ons for the add ons... Such as the Steam Rail tour for West Cornwall (correct me if I'm wrong) will add more services or rolling stock? Or is it solely for THAT route, gameplay pack as such.
The West Cornwall steam railtour doesn't layer onto WSR, only the Peak Forest steam locos layer AFAIK.
