Once again I thought I'd put together a list of potential options for UK locomotive dlc (apologies for non UK fans). Now that we have so so many third parties involved with TSW, hopefully we will start to see more frequent releases of locomotive dlc for existing routes.
All of the types listed are notable in their absence as they can/could be regularly found on the routes named at the time set with a few minor exceptions. Let's see what 2025 and beyond are set to bring. Without further ado...

Don't forget the 390 for BCC and the 180 for ECML.

Also, the 897s aren't in service yet, and won't be until 2027 when they're planned to be. Puts them out of scope in the current ECML route (which I believe is set circa 2023).

Pendolinos for BCC aren't a dlc as we already have them and only need them layered in once there is a timetable rework. As for the 180, these don't stop anywhere between Peterborough and Doncaster and would only be a AI layer if introduced in a different section of the ECML. Lastly, you have a point regarding the Class 897 but if little changes along the current route between now and 2027, it might be possible to do a timetable for the Class 91 sets and another for 897s as I believe that they will be the replacement.

great shout! I would love to see a BR Green diesels pack for Peak Forest even if it is just re-skinned diesels that we already have but I would like to see some re-worked to match the era such as no HI lamps and 4-digit headcode boxes.

I honestly believe that DTG and some of the other devs should focus more on loco DLCs as atm the only way to get new locos/MUs is via new routes

The Bradford Interchange services stop at Doncaster (one per day at both Peterborough and Doncaster except Sundays) although would be better off with a route of their own first.

Totally agree. Locomotive dlc has been quite thin thus far. So many that require adding to complete the experience on existing routes and that is before we even start to factor in upcoming routes. To me these are obvious gaps that are no brainer money makers.

Fair point. I suppose that I should stick with my previous standpoint that like/similar types be created in tandem/parallel to save on dev time and cost for a more complete collection. If a FGW 180 is made it would certainly seem wise to do the GC version at the same time and likewise with other classes and subclasses etc.

wasn't the last diesel loco dlc the class 20? that was, what, tsw 2 era maybe even the original TSW? the amount of things we (as the player) would love to see come to TSW and DTG is deaf to it all but they aren't deaf to the idea of a certain blue puffball making their debut into TSW5..

Athena Simulations should have given us the Deltic with their upcoming ECML Railtour Pack but decided to give us 47484 which (whilst preserved) has never ran in preservation or even been restored at all

47484 IKB was a WR machine from Old Oak Common and would be better suited to GWE or WCL which was its regular stomping ground. The Deltic would have been a far better call but alas not. Incredibly we are still waiting for these fantastic locomotives.

58s were not to be found regularly around Teesside. They were used further south in the Midlands and south east.

I would LOVE THIS! Yes please. Would take a long time to make/get all those locos but would definitely be worth it if made to a high standard

These Desiros would require a South Western route before they can be created and added as AI.

The timescale would be somewhat reduced if each developer had a go at a few. Some of these examples are more difficult than others as there are no survivors and opportunities for gathering data and sounds is extremely limited or non existent which would rely upon a bit of artistic licence. However, I still believe that the entire list is worthy of inclusion for the most complete experience on each route and its selected era. Furthermore, non surviving types would be superb for railfans too young to remember them in real life.
