I wanted to ask if its possible to tell which locos will layer on Mittenwaldbahn?
We got the confirmed rollingstock for Mittenwaldbahn, so maybe this can be confirmed too?

I dont have much knowledge of the services on this route in the 1989's, so i just list some things i could think of as layers.

DB Br 628(Produktfarben) (maybe as AI in Garmisch)
DB Br 103 (maybe a layer for IC services? i dont know if it did this type of services often but for example there is the IC 119 service from Münster to Innsbruck via Karwendelbahn on LFR with the 103. Maybe Mittenwaldbahn is set to early for that, but it would be fun)
DB Br 218 (if it would make sense service wise for cargo or AI, TSG said future repaints are possible to happen, so maybe it will happen now?)
DB Br 365 (Niddertalbahn featured it, its a loco from TSG and i think shunters have had to be at least somewhere on this route, even as AI or special services)
DB Br 110 (AI in Garmisch?)

Other way around, will any rolling stock from Mittenwaldbahn layer on another route? like LFR or AI on Niddertalbahn?

    Thanks

I think I read about the 110, 103 and 365 being confirmed although there apparently was a lot of shunting with the loco's back then, even with the 1020 which would be interesting to do. the 628 no idea but that might need to be a different model (I wouldn't mind a temporary newer model compared to not at all though) and the 218 I have no clue if it drove there even.

It's important to realize when discussing rolling stock on the Mittenwaldbahn is that it has always been a sideshow line, dedicated to local traffic. Any train that just wants to go to Innsbruck takes the main line via Rosenheim and Kufstein. What this means in practice is that today what you'll see is Austrian Talent 1s and German Talent 2s, with a little bit of local manifest freight, and I believe an ICE-T sightseeing train on weekends. In 1989 the rolling stock would have been the period equivalent, probably Class 139s for DB. (the 139 was a 140 with dynamic brakes added, recycled from decommissioned 110s. These were used on mountainous routes)

Although the 628 was in service, I doubt it could handle those steep grades. The 103 was needed for the ICs and some IRs, it hadn't yet been demoted to local services. There might have been the occasional tourist train though, and they would definitely appear as AI at Innsbruck since one of the major IC runs was from Munchen though the Brenner. 218, possible on freight, although I expect in reality the 211 was more common.

Livery: Although in theory the Produktfarben era had begun in 1987, in practice most DB rolling stock was still ocean blue/ivory, or even old-school chrome green. It takes a long time to paint as much stuff as DB owned!

    Totally Off-Topic, sorry:
Actually, I took my last picture of a DB ocean blue/ivory coach in regular service in July 2005 in Munich. The ABm 225 coach was part of a night train to Munich and coupled in Stuttgart for early morning commuters from Stuttgart (and behind) to Munich.
Even non-painted Silberling coaches were a common sight until the end of the 90s/beginning of the 2000s. For the Einheitsloks and the BR 111/151 you could see a lot of them still painted in ocean blue, orient red and even some in steel blue and chrome green. Really colourful times back then... Wish some day we could relive those in TSW.
