Did not think the oldest of switchers would be made (and in mulitple liveries for multiple routes no doubt), gotta give Reppo that.

And before someone states that BN never had one - yes they did, inherited from the Frisco on Mobile island.

    Huh?
Nearly every predecessor road for BN had SW1s. All of them were gone by the B-block purge of 82/83, though.

The one I wrench on is former BN, CBQ, masquerading as Milwaukee Road.

According to MacDonald ("Diesel Locomotive Rosters" (Kalmbach)) BN #70 ex Frisco (45 years old) was still active on Mobile Island in 1986 and there were 88 units operating in the US at that time. How much use they got or were is another thing. It is a lovely model and runs beautifully. The cabs were very basic back in 1941. I hope to see more liveries and the roller bearing truck appear at some stage.

BN #70 was an ex GN loco (#70) sold to Frisco in 1978 as Frisco #10 then became BN #70 again when BN merged Frisco in 1980 it must have had a thick coating of paint by then!
