I have started building a route using the iow template, iow track and track rule with the iow semaphore signals. In free roam the signalling works. I can set the paths on the 2d map and traverse from one part of the route to the other.
But if I try and set ai trains or player trains in free roam, standard or career the dispatcher can't path anything. Even if I put a train in a station and try to add pickup instruction on that station it fails.
It's saying the train isn't connected to the destination?
I've checked the track rule across the route and it's all the iow rule. I've checked all the track termination points have buffer stop lights, which they have.
Is this a problem with iow track? I've layed some test track using the wvr track rule and it works fine.
Thanks in advance for any input.

Check directionality of track. If you have sections that are one-way contrary to the route you want a pathed loco to take then the directionality must allow it/be consistent. In freeroam this doesn't matter - but for pathed locos (AI or player) it does. Let us know how you get on.

Thanks. I will check that. I noticed that junctions are the issue. If I lay a single track, I can run from point a to b and b to a in a scenario. But as soon as I add a junction nothing works. But yeah maybe I failed to tick the bi directional box.

It's not a box you need to tick, you need to select the track in the world editor and set the directionality appropriately.

Pressing "space" while in the editor will cycle through the display modes, showing you line type, direction, speed limits, superelevation, track unevenness and signal links - I may have missed one.

Thanks. I've checked all this. Thing is I've layed 1000s miles of track in ts and never come across this problem. The track I've layed is bi directional. I always lay bi directional. For some reason ts has become really messed up. I started creating a scenario on another route and it seems no matter how many times I f2 and choose save when pressing play scenario. The scenario loads blank and when I go back to edit, nothing is saved!

I'm wondering if this might have something to do with a recent installation of rw enhancer 2?

So I changed some sections of track direction from up/down to both and it seems to have solved that problem.

    Thanks for the support.
