This post will be me really just venting because this is starting to annoy me, so epic, play station and steam all got a free route at the same time but Xbox had issues so we been waiting. now another ps sale has been announced and there’s yet to be a mention of the Xbox free route or sale. like I know DTG has no control here but beep sake why the hell is ps getting another sale before Xbox even gets one for January and it’s free route. Honestly DTG and Xbox need to work some stuff out because this is getting ridiculous. I’m starting to consider quitting this game because of the sale issues and the fact they don’t listen to the community about issues on older routes or with older trains, like god please fix steam physics you’re literally throwing away money by not doing. sorry for anyone that reads this, I’m just really annoyed at the moment about all this
We xbox guys get screwed over all the time it feels like Microsoft dont care about sim sales all the care about are popular ones

Oh I'm not made of money either, infact 99.9% of my life I've been dirt poor, but if you want something that bad you save up for it, not crying because something you want isn't on sale, I might start moaning about the nextdoor neighbour and how they went on 4 holidays last year and I haven't been on one since I was 17, I'm nearly 45 now, the principle is the same as your gripe, and still not worth raging over.....
I’m stuck in college and unable to get a job because of my timetable, it’s just bs that other platforms will get and the one I play on gets like at max 6 sales at year and yes I already know it’s not DTG’s fault but still bs. I play this game to stop myself from ending it all, my mental is LOVE and my physical is kinda going bad so can you blame me for wanting something to go on sale
No one is raging i think we just simply pointing out why does xbox never have a decent sale on compared to the likes of playstation and steam who them regularly and when xbox do have a sale its a bit poor and if you are dirt poor as you say then a sale would benefit you as well .
Believe me I feel your pain, been through the lowest of lows myself, nearly been killed several times by various things and people, it definitely does take a toll on your mental state, but the point I was making was nothing is going to be put on sale just because you feel the way you do, but use the fact you want something to be a driving factor to motivate you to keep going and help you get yourself out of the black hole you find yourself in right now......
They said that they are going to sort something out regarding the free route this month, just give them time lol. As for the sales, I don’t know too much about them so I can’t comment on that.
It’s not hard to set something for free but yet Xbox is the only one having this problem, Xbox used to give away three games for free a month but dlc is too hard?
It should have been at the same for all platforms but Xbox had problems so it didn’t, but it shouldn’t take this long to fix such a tiny issue
Honestly they should have just pushed it back for the other platforms, they knew there was a problem but still released it for 3 out of the 4 platforms. it’s massively unfair to have to wait like a month just a free route that shouldn’t had this problem in the first place, it’s not hard setting the price to zero for a few weeks, hell they did it with games with gold but struggle now
Why should they push it back on other platforms? Also perhaps consider TSW5 launching free into Gamepass? PlayStation players will have had to pay for whichever version on top of their ps plus subscription
Why give to 3 of the platforms and make the one that already get’s pretty no sales wait. also us Xbox players would have to pay for game pass that’s like £14 and I’m pretty sure we need Xbox live on top of that (I honestly don’t know for certain, I haven’t had game in quite awhile)
Steam gets more sales than PlayStation and Xbox all the time. That's the problem with consoles. Its up to Sony or Microsoft to decide.
Hi folks, it's been mentioned by a couple other users, but ultimately anything regarding sales and free offerings on platforms is very often limited by individual platform owner support. I hope it's clear that, given the chance, we'd have chosen to release the free add-on to everyone at once, and that we're constantly working to bring parity across the platforms. I can understand the frustration star#5823, the retail experience does depend on the chosen platform in many ways, and as best as we try to counter that, sometimes there's not much we can do but to make the best choice for as many people in the moment. Finally note, legally we cannot reveal sales dates coming up, but whilst they're not as frequent as other platforms, there's always more opportunities for sales around the corner (insert diamond digging meme). It might be worth having a look at our previous year when we had discounts, via our article posts, to get a rough estimate when the next ones may be.

It doesn’t show me but I will take your word on it because it lines up with the other information, I hope to god Scotrail express goes on sale because it’s the last Scotland related dlc I need, also would really like Midland main line and maybe some of the cargo line vols but mainly interested in the two routes and I would probably pick up anything else that’s there on a good deal
MML was just on sale on PS, along with CL2. CL1 currently on sale. No clue if that's an indication of things to come for xbox, and may not be at all - but fingers crossed for you.
Gosh, MML, I don't think that's ever been on sale on Xbox, I've got an itch for that one. I'd be well chuffed if THAT was the giveaway! Not sure how Skyhook would feel about that mind.
I generally don't like routes outside of the UK tbh, mainly because I don't understand the signalling systems, am unlikely to ever visit the stations or travel on the locos, can't understand the announcements or in cab labels, and therefore, to some extent, it all feels a little fictional. While it was nice of DTG to gift Sherman Hill, personally I have no interest in US freight as it just goes too slow. I would hope however that it was the same DLC given away on all platforms, MML was one I would've loved to get for free, but purchased instead in the last sale (PS). Adds layers to ECML, and that was the main attraction for me - though the route itself seems very well made too.
That's when I picked it up. Great route if you have all the supporting layers. Come to think of it, bar TSW3 when I first got the game, it's only been the two JT routes I've paid full price for. Really hoping that GWR, Diesel Legends and IOW are on sale. That would complete the set for me bar some loco DLCs.
Yeah I don't truck with foreign signalling & safety systems either, that is, I don't care to learn, especially PZB, LZB etc. Nah, but the US systems are a little more appealing, more so for the alerter & ATC on commuters. Maybe I'm bias but the UK systems seem more straight forward. See I got Sherman Hill ages ago in a sale so I suppose I'm of the camp hoping for a route or loco I don't have yet, like the LGV, which was nice though I wouldn't have bought it ever. Shoot, must have missed that one

There are a few DLC available at a reduced price (14 in total by my count). GWE, at £4.99, is a no-brainer if you haven't already got it, what with the remaster on the way.
Keep in mind that a large portion of the mountain landscape will be missing due to the decreased draw distance on Xbox platform. At least on Rosenheim, which drove me to leave the platform. Can't imagine Semmeringbahn will be any better.
