On the picture in the link above it mentions
"Sale runs from the 19th December 2024 until the 2nd of January 2025"

Next Steam sale probably in the Spring or at Easter. Though DTG might have one of their specials in the meantime.

Darn, didn't spot the small print on mobile. Was a 75% discount. £30 is a lot for one route...

Sales will come around again. There's usually a spring Steam sale at the end of March.

Many would say you'd be better off buying from Just Trains themselves, then the various bits of the route get merged to form a very impressive whole.

Plus you'd get any updates in a timely manner rather than relying on DTG pushing any of them to Steam. Steam buyers of the South Western Expressways Reading route are still waiting for the update that Just Trains pushed out in July last year and DTG have sat on since then.

Yes, last year’s Festival of Rail 2024 steam sale was from February 1st to 12th.

l feel that the 2025 event may be soon, as this year there was no encore sale following the closure of the Steam Winter sale as in previous years!

I went ahead and bought the Hope Valley DLC and was pleasantly surprised when it came with additional locomotives as well.

Pretty sure I also got 7F 2-8-0, Black5 4-6-0, Class 37 and Class 55. Maybe more. I did also buy the Manchester to Liverpool DLC but I don't think they came with these. Seems a bit of black magic what appears in a DLC!

The locos you mention come with the European Loco and Asset pack - sometimes it is bundles with a route.
