I'm looking at all these suggestions, I can't believe this one wasn't mentioned. The caltrain Peninsula Corridor has been electrified!! Update the Caltrain route for the new electrification and the new Stadler KISS trains!!!

It has been requested several times before. If it was to happen it would have to be a separate route DLC because players who have bought the original and like the era depicted would have that taken away if the existing route was just updated so that can’t happen. There’s nothing stopping DTG making the route again set in the present day with all the electrification infrastructure and the Stadler KISS.

I don’t know how likely it is that DTG would actually make the same route but set at a different time but they do have a good relationship with Caltrain so it would be the ideal candidate for a remake. We have seen the LIRR route remade (but not in a different era) and extended and that was very popular. I think the same could be done here with the route electrified and the up to date trains as the big selling point.

I do not see the F40PH 920-922 Being added

However 900-919 already been retired since 2024,

Would it sell well enough, though?

Personally I'm not really interested in buying a route that looks very similar to one I already have in my collection. I imagine I'm not the only one.

would love it, especially if it had proper safety systems and properly modelled US cab... KISS is a great train, would love to drive it :)

That’s the question and one for DTG to ponder. If the scenery got an upgrade as well as the other changes I think it would do okay. The new trains would be the biggest selling point but the route being remade to current TSW standards would certainly help and given that routes tend to appear in sales fairly quickly after release these days I think many people would buy it as soon as it was on offer. I’d be up for it but then I buy all the routes eventually.

I have the route, don't play it that much However I think an updated route is a good idea, the thing is would there be enough justification unless of course its another remaster

the reason I dont play it as much is cos it isnt quite there with Metrolink routes, which are engaging even though the safety systems arent really implemented... might give it a go to fill the void of Antelope Valley Line, where they managed to break lights and alerter in Rotem Cab Car and alerter sound in F125 at the same time, somehow :D ... which is a shame cos I had a taste for it last couple days, wanted to play it, but since those dont work properly, I have to satisfy my Metrolink fix with San Bernardino Line in the meantime
