Yeah, it's been happening for ages. As mentioned happening across many routes, though not often enough for me to raise it. Id estimate once every 10 journeys, which for me i probably every 5th time I play on it.

On Series X too and only happens to me very occasionally. Noticed that it only ever happens though if the game is launched via the "Quick Resume".

Me too. I always make sure now I close the game down fully before I turn off my Xbox.

There are multiple reasons why it's a bad idea to use a Quick Resume. We'd recommend that you properly close the game after every session.
    1. Online connections are not sustained indefinitely, and can be severed in Quick Resume (i.e. Dovetail Live).
    2. Newly installed add-ons won't be visible in Quick Resume till the game is properly restarted.
    3. Rumoured - Decreased performance in games after using Quick Resume.
How to close an app or game on Xbox.
If you encounter a problem with an Xbox app or game, or if you just want to switch to a different one, it’s easy to close the app or game you’re using. Here’s how:
    1. Start by pressing the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Verify that the game or app you wish to close is highlighted from the mini-guide on the left side of the screen, and then press the Menu button on your controller.
    3. Select Quit.

I'm also on Xbox X, but don't get these crashes, despite sometimes playing from Quick Resume.
Is there a way to disable this feature?

I've looked at both Xbox and TSW settings and can't find it. Where did you find it please?
