We need this as DLC now since the cross city is having the last 323 service's running today so it'll be the 730's on the line from now on.

This would be a great addition for the west coast mainline too

I wonder if DTG has put this idea into their projects, hopefully we'll see a new roadmap update soon :)

Honestly same. A new timetable is a pain to be honest but.. it makes sense

Aren't we now getting the TFW 150 on the Cardiff City thing? If so, that could now work as a layer ✅. Can't remember what is coming though.

Could bundle in the timetable upgrade with the 730, like they did with the 380

Why would it be a good suggestion to set the timetable to today? You'll have a reduced service compared to 2019 it ran 6tph between Longbridge and Four Oaks.

The route needs an extension like SEHS.
Make it a network with two other end destinations running out of New Street.
That could add a significant amount of rolling stock and playable services, to include depots etc.

I keep mentioning this as the TSW6 launch route as BCC extended.

Worcester Foregate St Would be the approriate extension however I'm not too sure if DTG are priotitising this route anytime soon but an upgrade with the 730 & 196 would be perfect and updated ai traffic out of new st

If an updated timetable was released, hopefully, and generally, the old one would also be playable

That’s always been the case in the past

That'll still mean a reduced service on the Cross City Line which in turn results in a less busy service pattern. You could always add the AI layers referencing to the 2019 timetable.

I couldn't remember if the old CCL timetable was playable which is why I went for 'generally' instead. Remember the old BKL still being playable though.

What I'm saying is that players would have 2 options:
    1. The non-reduced service (old timetable) with (pretty much) 323 only
    2. The new modern timetable with reduced service, but more prototypical of the current standing with 390s, 350s, 323s (if set in transition era (preferable), 730s etc.

Could this idea work? Using the current timetable (2019) with half of the 323 services used by Class 730's alongside with Class 390 and 350 layers at Birmingham NS. The 350's will be used in addition to represent the Wolverhampton to Walsall service.

Personally I think the route is desperate for a remaster and more importantly a timetable update with the class 730 and WCML layers.

I really love this route but the lack of any other scheduled traffic/traction variety and the lack of general city light pollution around the centre of Birmingham let it down for me. While I'm not a fan of the team, Villa Park football stadium is a notable missing landmark and as glaring an absence from the Birmingham skyline as Barking Flood Barrier is from the GOBLIN line. Though the latter is less aesthetically pleasing.
