I've had a couple of problems with this route on xbox series x, anyone got an idea what the fix might be?

I know about the neutral sections, needing to power down for them etc. Now I know I've missed the signs warning of them a few times, it's easily done!

I suddenly lost power, ok, thought I'd missed a sign, no big deal, done it before, won't be long until I can run the power back up I thought, but no. The Line light does not light back up despite travelling a long way as speed slowly drops off.

Tried the pantograph reset, pressing button, holding button, no change, power stays off. Tried turning all off, master key etc but still no power when I bring everything back on. Checked circuit breakers, nothing tripped.

This has happened a couple of times and it's getting frustrating now! I've ran multiple trips now without issue, just occasionally have this pop up.

Any ideas anyone? Mucho thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

Did have a problem like this and trying to think how I solved it. Seems like you did everything by the book. SonicScott91 might be able to help

Did you run down after you lost power?

    Yes.

Just replayed this and pretty sure it's a bug. Fantastic when doing the guided rail journey and it's failing on only the 4th route ffs! It's the1M20 Glasgow Central to London Euston. The same neutral section every time without fail.

I saw the neutral section sign. Ran down to 0 power indicated. Power lever to off. All before hitting the actual neutral section.

Reach the section sign and as expected the Track light goes off when power lost. All by the book at this point.

However the power and track light on the dash just will not come back on no matter what I do. The train has coasted several miles now through the next station and still no power.

This is definitely not caused by me missing a sign and doing something wrong.

    Do support read these boards?

They do, normally the best way is to raise a ticket in case they don't see though.

JT Benedict tagging you in case you know re this?

OK, 4th attempt of the route today and this time it worked!

It's the 2nd neutral section of the route. Just before passing through a station, didn't catch the station name, noob error

I did everything identical to the previous 3 attempts except for AWS, I left this turned off, figured I had to try something different.

Some odd glitch with AWS? Can't see any other explanation that fits!

That's weird. I don't have the route so I can't test for myself, but I haven't seen anyone else talking about this. You should send in a bug report to DTG or JT, because having the AWS enabled should not be doing that.

I found resuming a save game with the AWS enabled was causing issues, might have mentioned it way back in the thread. I now tend to leave it off, though you still need to to set the change end switch correctly before you can move the loco.

That sounds like the NS before Penrith, which sometimes knocks me out too despite having run down and no brakes on.
However, pressing the reset button gets power back no problem.

I regularly lose power on the Class 87 with no warning. It's happened on multiple different journeys. There's a 'clunk', the power runs down to zero without me being able to intervene, after which I'm free to run the power back up to where it was before and can continue on my way. I initially assumed that I was missing neutral section markers, but having paid (much) more attention since this started it's increasingly clear that this isn't the case.

The other issue I have with the route is that the map gets 'stuck' sometimes. I'm not able to zoom or move it, and can't exit. Not sure if others have had the same experience.

    That's a TSW5 issue I'm pretty sure.

That is a base game bug…. To fix it just press whatever button you need to switch the map labels off then on again… this should return controls back to you
