Played the Sherman Hill SD40-2 tutorial yesterday. When I was past the stopping point and did the reverse to the hopper freight cars the tutorial crashed when I coupled to the freight cars at 15-16 mph. Caused an instant derailment video is below

maybe cos you arent supposed to slam into freight cars at that speed... y know, usual speed when approaching the coupling is like under 5 kph, so like 2-3 mph... and ideally be ready to stop before impact :D ... yes, the track limit there is 15 mph, but as I just said, coupling should be approached super slowly... not sure if 15 mph as light engine would cause IRL derailment, but still

Don't listen to me... There are right and wrong ways to couple cars—unless you are just goofing off.

I believe the German automatic coupling systems, like this one:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scharfenberg_coupler
those can be more forgiving, since they click upon impact, but even those shouldnt be approached faster than 5 kph... ICEs, when you go into AFB menu, even have coupling speed setting, which is like 2-3 kph... sometimes I see loco stopping a couple centimeters before the carriage/wagon, then slamming a little, followed by a guy connecting cables and all
