Hi, I used to play TSW2 2 years back. I have that game downloaded along with it's DLCs (39 in total). Took a long break after that. Now I have bought TSW5. Should I uninstall TSW2 and all its content before downloading TSW5 and then reinstall the content or will I download TSW5 and the old content will automatically get transfered to the new game.
While up to you, a reason to keep TSW2 is because certain training, Scenarios or lastly Services can't be completed (broken) in newer versions of TSW. Ex if you were moving to TSW3 https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/tsw3-br-363-scenario-trunk-service-still-broken.60001/ This way to get trophy/achievements (ex on PS5), all you need to do is one of non broken training, scenarios or lastly services. While I get TSW5 has less trophy/achievements then TSW2, TSW3 and lastly TSW4 - you may find it useful.
Also you need to keep 2 installed if you want to port your profile across but it can be uninstalled after.
There’s no need to uninstall TSW2 before downloading TSW5. You will need to download the TSW5 versions of the DLC you own.
Install TSW5, transfer progress, then delete TSW2 if you want. If you want both installed, feel free.
