My suggestion is for London Waterloo loop and i think the rail goes as far as Portsmouth. Might need correction on that part. As far as trains are concerned, Class 158 and 159, Class 444, 450, 455 and 458 and Class 701 Arterio and I don't know if there's any freight on the route but would love to see 3rd rail again. Thanks
I'll correct myself. One route goes to Portsmouth Southsea. One goes to Reading. One goes to Weymouth and the last one goes to Exeter St. Davids, with all the stops in between all routes. Maybe a project in the making but it'll be nice for a start at Portsmouth Southsea and continue on other routes with South Western Railway
I would love this route from London Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour which goes via Guildford in this instance. Might be too long so they may only make it to Guildford which would still be great
It was originally released in TSC between Woking and Portsmouth. More recently an updated version was made that took the route upto Waterloo. Having played both the original and the longer version, it's a big "no thanks" if we're only getting a section of the route. London to Portsmouth should be possible in TSW. Aim high.
I hope so. I would love to have the SWR in TSW and hope that they do bring the experience into the game
It's such a good run, within 15 miles of the M25 you're in some beautiful countryside. Loads of inclines to test you finishing up in the historic port at Portsmouth, which I think could look amazing. The 444s and 450s are (like the other UK Desiros) wonderfully responsive trains. Could lead to our first slam-door EMU too, the popular 410/411s. They ran alongside the Desiros in the early days of the SWT franchise and make the hilly route really challenging in TSC.
It's a great network! One I work on! Personally, I wouldn't mind a route similar to the one on TSC, from London Waterloo to Portsmouth harbour via Guildofrd (Past portsmouth and southsea) Would be nice to also include the slow branch via cobham, but that's just being wishful. The route would have some nice stopping action and some nice non stop too. Bout the right amount of length too
The last time I used the SWML was sitting in the cab from Waterloo to Alton back in 1989. It was either a 421 or 423. So I'm not sure whether the Portsmouth main line sees much in the way of freight, but it would be a good run in a diesel loco with all those gradients.
