The ICE TD would be so easy to make since we have the ICE T. They literally only have to modify the 411, because the coaches and the cab are essentially the same. The 648 would be nice but we could survive with the 628, so this route and the rolling stock would be so easy to make!
This is the route we need for a proper diesel mainline experience with RB, RE, IC, EC and ICE! Does even a single german diesel route in addition to Lübeck-Puttgarden have that variety?
Good idea! The electrified extension to Travemünde (20 km) would really lift the experience since we could use electric cargo locomotives (and continue the journey on Hamburg-Lübeck) as well as shorter passenger services with dostos, n-wagen or a multiple unit. Also the 232 would fit in perfectly for cargo train across the whole route or to Travemünde!
Correct but then you have a problem on the Puttgarden side it's how you put them inside a train ferry locomotives for the train ferry in actual documentation since 1963 Eisenbahnfähre Puttgarden-Rødby. Existing types we have suited for the train ferry yard are 363/365/204. Newer ones 249 1002 1018 Toshiba and 1004.0 S-Bahn Hamburg version due it having Punktförmige Zugbeeinflussung. Provided it's the whole route to Puttgarden from Lübeck Hbf.
