In tsw5 I think we should have a RBMK for fine dining either on WSR or Flying Scotsman Railtour add on. This would be somewhat like the MK3 food coach but would be suited more for heratage lines like WSR or railtours
I have been asking for a RMB since the first route with Mark One coaches appeared in TSW! By all accounts, there will be one included as part of the JT Class 86 and otherwise Mark 2 aircon coaching stock pack, but how back datable this will be to older routes remains to be seen. It also hasn’t been specifically mentioned in recent JT or Roadmap updates.
Search the forums for Class 86, plenty of references to be found. There is no release date or price as yet for the pack.
More catering vehicles would be most welcome. However, they need to be built with the counters open (where applicable) as our Mk3 versions on GWE and MML have closed counters. I am guessing that this was done to save time but really needs to be rectified for improved immersion. Specific branding of products is not necessary and can be replaced with generic or unbranded items. We have seen that similar work can be done with the sandwich and coffee bars on more recent routes.
Just Trains is producing the 86/2 for their Preston - Carlisle route. The back will include the Mk2F and Mk1 buffet. no release date or pricing has been annoucement yet but we could see it being released between late spring & early summer
I know JT have confirmed they are producing the Mk1 buffet but I can't find it being mentioned on class 86 development page (https://www.justtrains.net/in-development/train-sim-world-5-br-class-86-2-and-mk2f-coaches).
That’s why I’m a bit worried it has been quietly dropped off the radar. Sorry for ping but JT Benedict can you confirm the RMB is still “live”, please? Any 1970’s or 1980’s InterCity consist without some sort of catering vehicle is incomplete.
