Hey everyone, Would this be an idea, you drive a train to a dead end track end of a know route, but it tiggers a route hop where you and your train get a loading screen and you can now finish your onward journey driving your train into Victoria for example. Can it be done and would the community accept this idea?
I'll take it if it means I can drive from one end of a route to the other An ideal way to merge a route without the technical challenges of doing so (and maybe a precursor to route merging altogether).
I would say it could be a short term solution, but I would have to be careful about using the words "short term" as it might lead to expectations of something that might not be do able at this time if at all?
I've suggested this previously. For now, may be the only way to get around the route merging limitations and could be a good stop gap. Of course the loading screen would break immersion, but at least it's something for now. Not sure about the track disappearing in front of you though. Would rather there was like a portal before the end of the route but towards the end (after the final station), and overlapping tiles if you know what I mean so you spawn in in similar looking scenery
They could cheat by using a tunnel, drive into a tunnel, all goes dark, loading screen and drive out of tunnel.
I wouldn't agree with that tbh - unless there naturally happens to be a tunnel at a suitable point. I feel a random tunnel in a route where there isn't normally one would just be too immersion breaking unfortunately.
