I like to drive hudless, but with limited success. So most of the time I use the minimal HUD option. But even this I find too intrusive and immersion breaking. I'd like to see a HUD overhaul for TSW6 (or sooner) with a FULLY customisable options to choose what is displayed including text size. For me personally I just like to know how far to the next station and upcoming speed limits (I also find the gradient icon handy). I do toggle the HUD on and off sometimes while driving to minimise the screen clutter.
    Anyway here's hoping............

A solution would be to switch to the normal HUD and use Ctrl+5 to hide the speedometer, so only the current task display is up which shouldn't be too immersion breaking. I also do it that way and it's quite good.

This is what I have it like, I can excuse the track monitor as an EBuLa replacement, since we don't have that in TSW anyway, and it works fine the majority of the time.

I remember Sam saying on a stream once that we should have a clipboard (for the timings) and clock/watch to keep an eye on the time.

I mean, in most vehicles there is a clock/the time displayed in the cab, so that's that.

i play with no HUD and find the time is a biggie. playing BPO and WCMLos forever hitting esc every few seconds and counting down the seconds with fingers is something i do regularly on 142/101 stopping services trying to close the doors 5 seconds before. if there is a working station clock i try to stop near them as well for a reference but if it has no second hand or digits its hard.

for steam locos a small text in the corner would be good for your speed rather than the speedo similar to the F5 option (i think) in TSC.
