Can You Mass Change An Asset On A Route?

I have the DSB Zeeland route but I want to change the marker posts for German ones.
Those in the Route are quite white and reflect the locos headlights - the rear of them is the same.



I want to swap them for those in the Kuju folder but I looked in the route.bin file and they are not there
Not sure where to look?

I'd guess they are track-linked objects - in which case they will be in the tracks.bin. If they are 'just' scenery assets then they will be in multiple scenery tiles. In either case use rwtools to do a mass change (take backup first obvs).

 

They are just Scenery items as you can place them anywhere. They are similar to the Kuju German Countdown boards.
But I cannot find them in the Track.bin file
Not sure where else to look?

 

If they are scenery items they will be on each of the individual scenery tiles.

 

How do you check those? There are 2,419 of them.

 

As an alternative you can make the texture darker, and/or you can also open the geopcdx file and lower the specular power. I can help you with this but I do not have the assets.

 

If scenery, and you know what you want to substitute the original objects with, can't you just use Rw Tools?;
Use the check Route procedure which gives you the list of assets in the route, select the one you want to change and use the substitute button to replace with whatever is your choice..
